I recently injured my ankle and have to do required workouts for my PE class. Does anybody have advice for what I can do to get my heart rate up enough (it is monitored through a heartrate monitor) and still be low-impact for my ankle?

It's been a long time since i was in a PE class, but most teachers would let you slide a day or two if you are hurt.... but if you must get your heart rate up, a stationary bike or a rowing machine should do the trick

Swimming is arguably the best low impact exercise available... but, if your using a heart rate monitor, that may not be an option. Its my personal opinion that your next best bet is a rowing machine. If thats also not an option, cycling is also great cardio, and low impact.
