14 is young... you are still going thru the puberty stage. Kids gain weight around their middle right before they grow taller. It all evens out in a couple years. Eat healthy and minimize the fast food and junk food. Time is on your side. As far as a double chin, I have had one my whole life. It was inherited. The best i can do is practice good posture. It makes it less noticeable.

It's all about diet sweetheart. Time to get serious if you want to change the way you feel and look.Start with a very basic diet guideline, like Weight Watchers. I did it when I was 17 and lost 60 pounds. I don't believe that you have too much weight to lose, maybe 20 to 25 pounds, but you want to make sure that you are losing FAT mass and not muscle mass. Plus, losing fat mass looks like twice the amount of weight you actually loss (2 pound of fat = 4 pounds off your body). Go to the gym at school, join a sport, take a cross training class at school, and make sure you work out for 90 minutes, 3 days a week. This is very important. It is so easy to change your body now compared to years down the road. And the shape you say in throughout your teens is more likely the shape you are in into your 20's. So change now, and enjoy life for the years to come!Good luck!

At fourteen your body is still growing and changing. The best thing you can do is to eat healthy and exercise. As your body continues to develop you will have created good habits for eating and exercise that will last a lifetime. Once you are 18 and have come out on the other side of your developmental growth you may find you look different and are quite happy with yourself. Then will be a good time to work at sculpting your muscles if you feel the need.If you are thinking that you need to be careful not to gain weight, consider your diet. If you drink sodas, I recommend eliminating them and replacing them with 6-8 glasses of water each day. This one change should be enough to keep you from having a problem even if the soda you drink is diet soda. Diet soda has been shown to promote weight gain. The link below discusses this phenomena.Keep up the exercise. Build up to doing 45 minutes per day of some sort of cardiovascular activity. These would include walking, jogging, biking, running, dancing or swimming. This will keep you on the road to a sleek, healthy fit body!Good luck!
