| The easiest type of diet and exercise is the one YOU'RE going to stick with, not other people.I hate treadmills and I hate gyms. The only aerobic exercise I can tolerate other than walking my dogs is sitting on my exercise bike because I get to read, or doing my stepper because I get to watch TV. I cannot just exercise and listen to music. I can't stick to a low-carb diet because I am Italian and I refuse to give up the things I grew up with and love. So for me, it's portion control, make better choices, and accept the fact that I will always be Rubenesque like the rest of my family. Weight Watchers basic premise is "Eat what you want but eat less." It makes sense. The key is to find a lifestyle, not a diet and exercise plan, that you can stick with. To cut out all carbs and commit to an 90-min treadmill session a day is not likely to work. |

| If it were easy, everyone would be in perfect shape and be disease free. Eating right and regular exercise is not an easy path, it takes will power and dedication. If you are able to exercise and eat right, you will feel much worse before you start feeling better, due mostly to the toxins that have built up in your system being purged. If you still want to try to improve your health, find some kind of exercise that you enjoy, preferably with someone you enjoy also. A commitment to another is easier to keep than if you exercise on your own. As far as eating, the perfect diet is on based on fresh fruits and nuts, but is very difficult to get there and has to be very balanced. Don't think you can go cold turkey and only eat fresh fruits and nuts, start slowly replacing the processed foods with more healthy choices. |
