I don't use an IPOD. They break down too easily if they're subjected to movement. I have a Rio MP3 player http://www.nicheblogs.net/outwooted/rio-cali-128-sport-mp3-player.jpg with a memory chip. It holds about 40 songs. Not as many as an IPOD, I know, but RIOs are designed for wearing while exercising. I found mine at Wal-Mart.What foods, how much of them, and how many calories should you be consuming? http://www.mypyramid.gov/ and click on My Pyramid Plan.Oops, you ate a Snickers candy bar! Or a Nacho Bell Grande! What do you need to do to burn it off? http://www.calorieking.com/ and click on "search our huge food database".My students use the above 2 websites for their nutrition planning unit.

the ipod shuffler. it's a very small and you can clip it to your jacket or pants. very nice to have so you can run hands free!!for some foods:almond butter with sliced applesyogurt and granolafresh salads full of your favorites veggieswhole wheat foods like pasta and bread (make sure you get enough since you're a runner, you need that energy)
