Okay so i'm 16 years old. I am not overly fat but i do feel like i have a little bit extra on my stomach so what i am looking to do is... Get rid of the fat and tone up my stomach, not necessarily get abs straight away because it takes awhile. So what is the best way to get rid of this extra fat and start building abs? I have tried alot of things but it doesn't seem to go away. One other thing, if you suggest changing foot diet. Lunch and breakfast can easily be changed but Dinner is hard because i live with my grandmother who cooks everynight. I cannot expect her to cook different food for me. But she always cooks, never take away. I'd probaly have take away once or maybe twice a month. So yeah, and if you do suggest anything could you explain in detail or atleast give an example?at 16 i know i shouldn't be the way i am. I am healthy it's just my stomach holds extra fat while the rest of my body is fine. I've been doing sit ups for the last 2-3 months every night i would do about 100 and also every night for the last 2 months i have been walking or slightly running abit then walking etc. Still my stomach has not gone away. I can admit though this last week i ahve slacked off but its because i'm tired of not seeing results. anyone that can help? thanks in advance?

Keep doing situps, pushups, any exercise that won't cause permanent damage. The fact that your Grandmother cooks dinner is irrelevant. Just eat less. Examples. People who exercise are more fit. So keep at it. Avoid junk food. Eat healthily. Of course, all of this is easier said than done. Good luck!

Do you have a trampoline? If so, back bounces are one of the most effective + fun ways to get abs!! Back bounces are when you jump up, push your hips up and land on your back with your legs at a 45 degrees angle...keep on bouncing up from this position back to her back by pushing your hips up. Eat lots of protein + raw eggs ( ew but it works ) and do sit-ups + press-ups every day, increasing by 10 each day...but sticking to a healthy diet and not eating more.Good luck!

Eat right like not fatty foods and do rougly 70 sit-ups a day, AND/OR if u have any sort inclined or hanging bars throw your legs over it and use it like that makes a big differeance. DO THE SIT-UPS TO GAIN MUSCLE AND RUN ABOUT 2 1/2 MILES A DAY TO LOSE THE FLABHope this Helps Smile

Go to the YMCA. You can take yoga classes, there is weightlifting, you can run on the track, do crunches, situps, swimming works all the muscles in your body plus its really easy so try that! If you "compete" with a friend to get you motivated it helps a lot too! Good Luck! : )

I wouldn't diet. You are only 16 and still growing. Your body needs a lot of calories to grow (especially since you are still gaining height). Don't deny your body if you are very hungry - that's your body saying it wants to grow and it needs calories to do it.I would suggest exercising instead - especially weightlifting, since you are trying to work on your body image - arms, shoulders, back, chest (and don't forget about the legs!) - you don't even really need weights to get a good workout. Check out youtube for some bodyweight workout routines. Honestly I wouldn't worry about your abs, if you keep up the ab workout, and do some exercising, they will come naturally.
