Ok, starting today I am on the track of boosting my metabolism and I just have a few questions and any advice is great. ^_^Details:For the last two weeks I've been obsessing over my weight. I'm currently 116. I had somewhat of an eating disorder at the beginning when I was weighing 122. Obviously I have lost some weight. (6 pounds pretty good.) But, it hasn't been the right way. Iwould starve for nearly two days then II would binge horribly. My last binge was last night. I didn't throw it up though which is good right? Well anyways I wanna lose weight the right way. So today I'm trying to get my metabolism going on what not. I plan to eat breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner. Small meals ofcorse. My exercise consist of 30 minutes cardio, 200 sit-ups, 30 push ups, 30 squats (3 sets of 10), and some thigh work outs. (3 sets of 10).Ok, question, is my whole routine going' to benefit me within 2 weeks? Will I notice a difference??I want to tone up. Burn fat, and gain muscle.Sorry I wrote so much.. I appreciate if you read it all though. Also, Am I going to gain any weight do to the unhealthy ways I previously handled my weight? From eating hardly anything to eating 4 times a day?

it will take longer than two weeks however you will feel more energized and active and awake because of your routine. id give it a month before u notice any physical changes. losing weight takes a long time. dont give up. and the only healthy way to lose weight is to lose one pound per week

take a protein supp and eat healthy foods high in protein or at least a good source .as for working out you want to tone up so the best excersises for that is resistance and core excersises those wont add the kind of muscle a guy would have but it will get you toned up and sexy and STRONG! good luck.

Hmm i think it will work, i'm sure u will see a difference within 2 weeks, definatley a month i would say. But i warn you now if u want to gain muscle, chances are u are going to gain weight beacuse muscle weighs more than fat. Don't skip any dinners as you will NEED the energy to work out and do all that cardio. I recommend Quorn products, they are for veggies cos theres no meat but it looks and taste like meat, is waayyy lower in fat, and higher in protein than normal meat. ITS BRILLIANT! They have things like quorn sausages, chicken fillets, burgers and there no nasty stuff in them. Look on their website, its good for heathly diets. Its very good to do cario but if u keep it up (which is the only way to maintain your weight whe n u do lose it) but build up gradually, like every 3 weeks, instead of doing 30 min, do 40, and build it up like that. Chances are i wouldn't do any of the leg exercises as you will gain muscle anyway from the cardio, but keep to the sit ups Good LuckOh and. . .drink plenty of water! Ur gonna need it! Also, i dunno what ur gonna do for your cardio but i use my stairs and run up and down them or go up and down on the first step using weights and listening to music, now thats a workout! :DBut u can also try a dancemat if u have one, wii fit on the running, Hula hooping (u don't need the hoop) is good too when u do it really fast, it tones ur side abdominals and burn calories! And the davina DVD is very good too and the Ministry of Sound work put dvds are good toooo, |

Your plan is somewhat good. Here's what I would do:Diet:Choose foods that are good sources of protein such as poultry, and fish. You could eat some red meat but not too much. As far as carbohydrates, pick vegetables and fruits that are low glycemic. Such as carrots, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflour, green beans, yams. And there are a numerous fruits as well. I would cut out the potatoe products, white rice, juice, pop. Drink lots of water, or you could drink juice like crystal lite or other sugar free drinks.Eating at least 5 meals a day. This will help your metabolism work more effeciently.Workout:I would recommend 30 minutes 4-5 days a week of high intense cardio. If you run, pick a pace that you are able to get to about 27-28 minutes and really struggling to get those last couple minutes, this way your able to maximize your cardio workout. I would than lift weights 3-4 days week. Your sets should be about 3-4 and reps about 12-15. Making sure you struggle to get those last couple reps. This week fatigue the muscle faster. You will initially notice a drop in weight but after that you may level out. I idea is to not get frustrated and not looking at the scale but looking at your appearance and how your clothes are fitting. And, if you are able to check bodyfat. These are better indicators than the scale.
