I'm 17 and I'd like to lose weight. I don't want to have to buy a diet/meal plan because I'm a student so I don't have enough time to sit down and plan out my every meal. I don't mind taking diet pills so long as they actually work. Excersize is a bit of an issue since I'm embarassed to work out infront of people and I'm not much of a self motivator. I've heard of these diet/cleansing detox things. Except apparently it only makes you lose weight for a little while and then you gain it back. Anyways I want to lose weight off my thighs and hips. I actually do crunches for my stomach and I can feel my muscles developing. So any ideas as how to lose weight fast and keep it off with out spending alot of money or time would be great, actually any ideas would help. Thanks! Those are great ideas, for someone who has alot of time to plan out there diet. I'm a highschool student, trying to get higher grades, so I'm always doing homework or extra work plus helping the school plays. So I leave for school at 7 am and don't get home until 5 pm. That only leaves me with time to do homework. Plus I'm not buying my food, my mom is and she's busy enough so I can't stress her with making a completely different meal and we aren't exactly rich so she's not about to go buy different foods for me. So I really need other ideas.

if you starve yourself, youll lose muscle, and every kg of muscle you got burns bout 70 calories a day.Basically youll gain weight back coz less muscle=less calories required every day, so and extra stored as fat.If you wanna lose weight, do cardio at the gym.Don't feel embarrassed. You'll thank yourself that you did in a few months when you look much better, and that it was worth it.The the gym, do MIT (mixed interval training), which means go as hardout as you can (e.g .cycling or cross trainer, increase resistance as goes fast as hell) for two minutes, and then go moderate (rest) for another two minutes. Continue for 45-60 minutes (dnt listen to wimps that onli go for 30minutes). The reason that this is effective is coz continually fluctuating your heart rate confuses your body, and (obviously youll burn calories during your exercise; aim to burn 800 calories every workout), youll also burn calories after you workout for a few hours, not as much but maybe 300-400 an hour, compared to maybe onli 100 if you didnt do MIT. Also do weights, to maintain muscle, as wen you exercise aerobically you tend to use a bit of muscleDIET: Just eat wholegrains, nothing fried, most of your fat shud come from flaxseed or olive oil; eat lots of veggies, and some fruit; eat every 3 hours, 300 calories each meal for 5 meals a day. this maintains your metabolism, and prevents your body going into starvation mode (when it tries to hold onto its fat)You cant lose fat fast, but if your consistent, you can lose 1kg every week, and over 8 weeks thats 8kg. This emphasises importance of consistency, rather than going hardout for a week and then not being able to be {Censored!}.Gud Luck

In addition to the sensible exercise plan that someone else has given you, go for a balanced diet that includes lots of fruit, veggies and a balanced assortment of proteins like low fat meats, eggs, beans, and nuts combined with a small assortment of carbs like whole grain bread and brown rice. I agree with the suggestion that most of your fats should come from olive oil, flaxseed oil and other oils with omega3.Substitute a diet that is balanced in a plan that gives you 1500 calories or so a day and you should lose weight without developing a metabolism that plateaus, particularly if you are exercising as well. For exercising the thighs-- add leg lifts, walking or running. You don't necessarily need to exercise in a gym to get the workout you need.LizN

I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes. Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight. First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart. However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day. Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.
