First of all, I am waay out of shape. I dont exercise at all. I'm 19, 6'0 and weigh 270lbs. I hate being the weight I am and I want to change it. I just moved into a new building that has a gym and pool that I have access to at all times. So I want to start working on my weight, aswell as trying to gain some muscle. (I really want to be more attractive to the ladies, not just skinny lol)My question is: What is a good exercise regiment to lose weight aswell as gain muscle? How much running on the treadmill, weight lifting, swimming etc. Also for lifting, how much should I lift? as much as I can? or less? and how many reps should I be doing?(Also, I realize what you eat is a big part of changing your weight and I'm working on that. I've already changed to mostly salads and then some protein for dinner like a small chicken breast. Its hard for me to eat so little x.x)

I would recommend swimming or running 3 x a week and a full body weights routine 2 x a week. Start with 20 minutes of running or swimming . Don't worry if you have to stop just do some walking until you catch your breath. When you can do 20 minutes nonstop increase the time to 25 for a couple of weeks and then gradually build up to 45 minutes max. Your weight training routine should include squat, bench press, upright row, deadlift, bent over row, shoulder press, lunge squat, chin-ups or pullovers and reverse crunches. Try starting with 1 or 2 sets of 10 reps and gradually increase to 3 sets after a couple of months. Start with light weights at first until you learn the exercises properly then increase the weight so that it is challenging to complete the set.Good luck
