| im trying to lose weight and im restricting claories to 1200. my exercise is 10,000 steps a day (just by doing everyday stuff) which is apparently about 500 cals according to nhs website. after i get home i do 20mins of jogging then walking, jogging then walking etc, and about 20mins on an exercise cycling bike. is this sufficinet.ideally id like to lose 3lbs a week? |

| You need to burn 3500 calories to lose one pound so I would probably up the exercise to an hour and you should accomplish your goal. |

| That sounds pretty good! As long as you're getting your heart rate up for a sustained time and pushing yourself pretty well with the cardio, you'll burn calories. Also, try lifting weights to raise your resting metabolism. Another thing you might try with your cardio is interval training... I wrote a blog about it at the link below, and it's supposed to be one of the best ways to maximize short cardio workouts. Good luck! |
