| ok to make things short i am having a contest at my work to see who can lose the most wieght by dec 30th 2008.i am 20 years old 6 foot 4 and 370 pounds.i take a whey protien shake (made with water) at 7 oclock in the morning before work then i will eat about 5 small meals then after the last meal i will walk on the treadmill with an incline for about 30 to 45 mins,lift wieghts every otherday,and after the work out i will take another whey protien shake.i havnt ate fast food for a month nor drank soda,i eat 1 apple and 1 bananna a day and i will have some veggies for dinner. i know whey protien wont make me fat but should i continue to take the shake just to loose wieght. |

whey protein shakes arent good for you . have FRESH fruit and vegentable juices as well as fruit/veggies . whole grains dont eat after 5 is the biggest tip as well . good lock  |

| protein drinks are not made to help you lose weight. they help you gain weight. if you want to lose weight, cut down on food and weight lifting and do more aerobic excersises such as jumping jacks. |

| I'd just make sure that your total caloric intake is less than what you are burning each day. Your walking may only burn 150 to 200 calories, and you would want to cut what you are ingesting to 1500 or so to really lose weight. If you do the math, you may find that your whey shakes are actually adding too many calories to accomplish your goal! |

| You should go for a walk in then morning before you eat anything. Also, try soy milk instead of whey protein. Eat some fish and some chicken. Maybe, have meals less often. Letting yourself get hungry helps to burn your fat reserves and helps to avoid diabetes. |

| I found the best way to lose weight it so start your diet with a cleanse. I would suggest the Wild Rose Cleanse and when you have finished the cleanse (12 days) (and followed all the directions for diet when cleansing) then eliminate anything white from your diet, white bread or anything with wheat, white rice, pasta, white potatoes, sugar.Eat things that are high in fibre, brown rice, brown rice pasta, rye breads. Whole grains are fine too, wheat berries, etc.Start your morning with a protein, if you can have a hardboiled egg or lean turkey sausage. If that isn't possible then some raw almonds or a bit of almond butter and some apple slices.Stay away from anything that is processed or has a lot of chemicals in it.As a rule of thumb shop the outside of the grocery store, fresh veggies, meats, etc. I hope that helps. |
