Treadmill. Anytime you can stand up when you workout, the more calories you can burn, and the more muscles you'll use. Better yet, hold a couple of 3 lb weights while you walk/jog and you'll burn even more calories. Good luck to you!!

Whichever you like more, and work harder at, do that. If you ride the bike hard, but walk leisurely on the treadmill, then the bike is better. But if you mix up walking/jogging, or incline/flat powerwalking, and feel like you're working harder at that than on a bike, then treadmill is better.

Both are equally effective physical activity. You do not have to exercise vigorously to reap health benefits. You can still stay healthy if you do moderate-intensity physical activity for at least 30 minutes per day, 5 days a week. The 30 minutes can be broken down into 10 min segment throughout the day.Example of Routine/Daily physical activity that you can engage are listed below:

treadmillsare bad for your knees if your using it 2 workout I work in a fitness club, and I think the body builders use them for 20 minutes at a time just to get that cardio in that trims fat off. Personally I prefer the eliptical and the stair climber, I don't cycle but people say its great and its a good work out. Some clubs have cylcle classes and they get great reviews. It's not always about wich one is the better work out because you wanna stick with it and you won't if your board, so concider that. But yeah I think you will burn more on the bike.
