I use to have an eating disorder and lost a lot of weight! I used to go the gym and burn a lot of calories, my periods stopped, as results that was 18mths ago! Then slowly I started to recover, got a job ate more safe foods and now 18mths on I am back to the weight I was before 7stone 5ft4. and my periods returned !! ! but all the weight seems to be on my belly, which I hate, I do not want to stop eating but if I continue then I will get a bigger belly, my diet is good and healthy but I never over eat! But gain weight fast so quick…..Can you suggest pills/ or exercise I can do to reduce belly fat! Like I said I eat healthy, work all day, look after my child, I am thinking of investing in a treadmill, do u think that will help……..

tread mill won't help great with your stomach more for legs and that all you do is walk or jog on it, tablets don't work and will put you back 18 months again if you go down that road stay eating healthy and do stomach crunchs (sit ups) for your stomach need to do a specific exercise for your stomach, you could join a gym and ask them what they would recommend to you for your stomach and well done on getting better stay healthy

a treadmill wont help a belly sit ups will. stop worrying about your belly and worry about your kid, do u think they love you any less for having a belly? eating healthy? how healthy? if you eat lots of veggies they take up more room in your belly so it appears larger eating a salad than if you ate a pack of crisps, that could be a problem?

yes a treadmill would be good. cardio exercises like running and swimming can burn fat. muscle is heavier than fat- so if your working out you might actually gain weight, but physically youll be thinner. just keep running and sweating and youll lose the fat.

Treadmill will only make you lose more weight which you dont want, belly fat is a bugger to get rid of there is no magic stick to make it go away!!I suggest drinking lots of ice cold water and maybe purchasing a slender tone instead of the treadmill, i use that every night and makes me feel soo much slimmer on the tummy and toned Smile

First off, I don't konw what 7stone is. but if it is equilevent to about 120 pounds. don't worry. just do some crunches, and things like that to tighten your muscles. Just eat smaller meals more frequently ie... munch on cheese, nuts, carrot stix, and things like that.

first I have to point out that once you have an eating disorder then you will always have one don't go with pills they are bad for the heart to start with try crunches and maybe some gentle stretches they're are some machines you can buy to help focus on the tummy area one is the ab lounge and others like that but I cant remember their names sorry you could try a gym but I would tell them that you only want to tone up the stomach area and explain that you are not trying to lose weight just tone the belly up but be careful about not going back to compulsively losing weight it can happen real easy to people who have had trouble before good luck Smile

Pills are never the answer. From your description you need to strengthen the lower abdominal muscles, which are referred to in Pilates as the core muscles. You need to improve your muscle tone. Remember as you do this that muscle weighs more than fat so as your "belly" disappears your weight may go up. Live with it. Accept it. This is the new healthy you.Doing Pilates exercises have helped me to reduce the size of my hips and abdomen. But and it is a big but, I got bored.!!!!! You will get bored with the treadmill. Trust me!!So I started doing dancing. When was the last time that you saw a dancer with spare flesh on them. Their bodies are toned. I used Core Rhythms and the SCD DVDs. (I will look like Karen Hardy one day!! )It is great fun especially when I go wrong which I do with amazing regularity. I'm not svelte yet but I'm working on it and giggling all the way.Enjoy yourself, enjoy your child and good luck!

7 stone = 98lbsthat weight is still underweight and at 5'4 i doubt you have much of a belly if any. As you said you had an eating disorder you could have body dysmorphia, so your not seeing how you really look.if you do have a belly, it could be that you lost muscle through dieting so just have fat left instead. i had this too don't worry, you don't want to lose anymore weight, so i would concerntrate on building muscle and toning. try weights and walking to build muscle in stomach, legs and arms x x x

Pills suck. Cut your carbs down, up your protein (whey protein powder is the best), move, move move. Don't stop eating. Just workout in the morning before your baby wakes up and do something with some intensity for about 45 minutes. I know it's a bitch getting up but you get it out of the way and then also jack your metabollism up for the rest of the day. Helps you sleep better also. There is no way you will reduce belly fat using a spot reducing method. The body doesn't work that way. I would incorporate a plank movement as the last thing you do in your daily routine. See below. Do this only 5 days a week. Don't obsess if you blow it a few times. Who cares? It takes a honking 3000 plus calories to gain a pound which is no biggie. Got it?
