|
|
| Hi ive just started working out to lose a stone i have not exercised for over two years properly due to having a baby but I want to get back into it.I can only manage 10 mins on the bike, 2 on rowing machine a few toning exercises and abit of swimming every time I go. Is this worth doing or am I wasting my time. My friend said that you need at least 20 mins of power excercise to even start fat burning. But I am done in after this two times a week. |

| The obvious way to burn fat is to eat less food and workout more, the difficulties appear when we actually aim to put that into practice! There are loads of temptations out there don't you think?! I uncovered some good advice by visiting the site in the box below, they have loads of guidance, I lost 6 pounds by following their helpful advice. |

| Look at the picture - yes it is me. I used to weigh 22 stone and when I first went to the gym I couldn't run for 10 seconds. The next time I ran for 15 secs the time after that 20 secs then 30 secs soon it was a couple of mins then 10, then 20. Within 18 months I ran my first 1/2 martahon in just under 2 hours and dropped 9.75 stone - so yes it is worth goingGood luck |

| Don't give up, you'll be able to work up to it as your fitness levels will be low so you need to build up your strength until you can do 20 minutes at a time. I'm in the same boat myself, I'm looking to lose a couple of stone. I've managed to lose half a stone but have come to a bit of a standstill. I'm trying to do a little bit of exercise every other day. It's a slow process but you'll get there is the end! Good luck |

| first and foremost. it took u 9 months to put the weight on, and you can expect it to take 9 months to get it off, healthily. i did it. 9 months. forget any of those women who look like they never had a baby 2 weeks after they delivered and who boast about it. that aint reality.wot u do, if you arent fit already. start slow as u are. but gradually build up, do the bike longer. swimming dont burn fat, look at the people in pools, no offence meant. i dont believe swimming is nearly as good at burning fat as sweating it out in the gym.know wot burns fat the fastest? running. get on that treadmill. start with a 15 minute manual workout, jog when you can, til u get too winded, then walk fast or uphill, then jog for another few minutes, and so on, up to 30 minutes if you can. eventually you will be able to run the entire 30 minutes. promise. another exercise that will knock the fat off is skipping rope. try to do this for first 10 minutes, then 15, straight, it kills ur legs but it works.if you workout to the point you sweat and 'blow bubbles', at least 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes a time, u will be amazed by the result in 3 months time.last, ditch your scale. you tend to GAIN weight when you get fit as muscle weighs more than fat, but u will drop clothes sizes, go by that instead.good luck |

| Any exercise is better than none and well done for getting started and having a go.To make better use of your time while you train you could try interval trainning as it has proven to burn more calories in the same amount of time. What I mean is that if you are doing 10 mins on the bike, try doing 10 mins but in blocks of 1 1/2 mins at a comfortable pace followed by 30 secs of fast pace. This is called interval training and will burn more calories and fat.Good luck.. |

| Well, any little helps. The answerer above said correctly that if it takes nearly 3 years to put on the weight it shouldn't come off quickly, slow and steady is the key. Is your weight constant at the moment? If it is then you just need to burn a few extra calories until you get to the weight you want to be at. If your weight is still increasing then you perhaps need to look at what you eat and if you can cut it down a bit too.Your friend is a bit right - you do need to exercise a bit longer and the government recommends half an hour which gives your heart a good work out. What you can do is keep doing the same as you are now but slowly increase what you do. You might try 11 minutes on the bike next session and 2:15 on the rowing machine - a small increase but start working towards 30 mins of cardio. Perhaps add some cross trainer or treadmill work, 6 to 10 lengths in the pool as well (thats 10 minutes cardio, 10 minutes cycle, aim for 5 mins row and 10 minutes treadmill or cross trainer and thats half an hour)So slowly build up the time on each machine and you'll get there quite quickly I think |

| If your not fit enough to go for half hour then your very unfit so if you can do 10min on the bike do that and when you get tired rest for a while then get on the bike again and keep doing this. The thing with cardio exercise is that it hurts when you get to a certain point and you stop but if you keep getting to that point you will slowly get fitter and will then be able to fight against the pain which is where the real fitness takes place.I would suggest exercising 4 times a week if you want to see real results, doing exercise 2 times a week will yield zero results. |

| Ignoring weight loss, the minimum requirement just for good health is 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise 5 days a week. If you want to lose weight you need to burn off an extra 3,600 calories to lose 1 lb in weight. A moderate jog or 30 minutes will burn off about 400 calories, thus to lose 1lb in a week, taking no other action, you would need to jog for 4 1/2 hours. |

| I BELIEVED THAT NO TWO PEOPLE ON THE FACE OF THE EARTHWERE ALIKE; NO TWO PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME FINGERPRINTS, LIP PRINTS, OR VOICE PRINTS. NO TWO BLADES OF GRASS OR SNOWFLAKES ARE ALIKE. BECAUSE I FELT THAT ALL PEOPLE WERE DIFFERENT FROM ONE ANOTHER, I DID NOT THINK IT WAS LOGICAL THAT THEY SHOULD EAT THE SAME FOODS. IT BECAME CLEAR TO ME THAT SINCE EACH PERSON WAS HOUSED IN A SPECIAL BODY WITH DIFFERENT STRENGTHS, WEAKNESSES AND NUTRITIONAL REQUIREMENTS, THE ONLY WAY TO MAINTAIN HEALTH OR CURE ILLNESS WAS TO ACCOMMODATE TO THAT PARTICULAR PATIENT'S SPECIFIC NEEDS. James D'AdamoThe dynamics of weight loss are related to the changes your body makes when you follow your genetically tailored diet. There are two factors. 1) First, as your body makes the dramatic shift of eliminating foods that are poorly digested or toxic, the first thing it does is try flush out the toxins that are already there. Those toxins are mainly deposited in the fat tissue, so the process of eliminating toxins also means eliminating fat.2) The second factor is the effects that specific foods have on the bodily systems that control weight. Depending on your blood type, the lectin activity of certain foods may do the following:__ Interfere with the digestive process.__ Slow down the rate of food metabolism, so you don't efficiently burn caloriesfor energy.__ Compromise the production of insulin.__ Upset the hormonal balance, causing water retention (oedema), thyroiddisorders and other problems. Our blood contains aeons of genetic memory--bits and pieces of specific programming, passed on from our ancestors in codes we are still attempting to comprehend. One such code rests within our blood type. Perhaps it is the most important code we can decipher in our attempt to unravel the mysteries of blood and its vital role inour existence.__ When you use the individualized characteristics of your blood type as a guide for eating and living you will be healthier, you will easily reach your ideal weight and you will slow the process of ageing.__ Your blood type is a more reliable measure of your identity than race, culture or geography.
