| I am 5'10 190 pounds I need to lose about 20 to be happy with myself. I have been walking on a treadmill 45 minutes a day on a lifefitness treadmill at a 3.0 speed and a 3.0 incline. I pump my arms the whole time and am very sweaty when I am done. Will this help me lose weight? If I do it everyday will how long before I drop 10 pounds? How about 20? Would it help if I did 15 minute increments on different machines like the elliptical, recumbent bike, treadmill etc.? Please help! |

| You are certainly doing a great thing. Doing this every day will certainly help you lose weight - BUT, weight is only lost when you exert more caloric energy than you take in. So, if you are managing your intake of food PLUS exercising like this I would think you should see results soon. The incline is very good, I would increase the speed a little if you can. But even walking at 3.0 is good. I lost 60lbs in under 5 months by power walking and using hand weight while I walked (you might try that) - but I also cut down to 1200 calories a day. |

| It's hard to say how long it will take you to loose the weight. You definitely will if you keep it up. If you do this 3-5x a week you should be good. Make sure you're still eating right and not starving yourself, it is not healthy to drop a lot of weight in a short time. |
