I am 5'8" and 165 pounds with 36DD chest. I thought I needed to lose 15 pounds at most, but he says I need to lose 28. It was very hard for me to hear that he thinks I need to lose double then what I thought. Do you guys have any suggestions to burning fat? I do elliptical, treadmill with an incline, stairmaster, and sit ups. Please help me. Very Depressed!

Who care what the trainer thinks! If you want to lose 15, lose 15...if you want to keep going after you lose the 15, great! I would stick with your original goal of 15, and after you achieve that...then worry about a new goal.

Why don't you work on a plan that will cause you to lose 15 pounds. From there, evaluate your body and see if you want to keep losing or just maintain. You could end up agreeing with the trainer after you reach the 15 pounds lost mark. Or you could say "I look great, I'm done with losing weight now."

In 2002 I started working out on my own and lost about 95 lbs. At the gym I was approached by a trainer who said, "I see you in here a lot but it looks like you're always doing the same things. What are your goals, how much more do you want to lose?" etc. I started working with him and lost about another 15lbs but more importantly, I lost 2 more sizes. The difference? Weight training. I did 45 minutes of cardio before our sessions and then he had me on weight machines, using resistance bands, and doing all kinds of core training. It made a huge difference and toned up a lot of the loose skin I had. I'd recommend adding in weight training because muscle burns fat- the more muscle you have (not bulky muscle, just toned, lean muscle) the more fat you'll burn, even if you only need to lose 15. Good luck!

Ok first of all, don't get too upset. I've helped several people lose some weight in the past, and all it takes is dedication. I have found that running outside is much more beneficial when it comes to losing weight than a treadmill. It requires more energy from your body, and will burn fat faster. It is also important to make sure you watch what you eat. Just because you go to the gym 4 times a week doesn't mean you can eat a lot of unnecessary sugar. If you don't have the self-will to push yourself when running, I would suggest finding either a partner of a club to run with. This is more useful because it will prevent you from giving yourself excuses to run. Finally, you don't need to be so upset by this. Everyone's bodies are built differently, and most people aren't going to look like a supermodel. You don't want to physically harm yourself by losing too much weight too fast. You need to set a long-term goal for yourself (6 months-1 year) and stick with your plan.Good luck.

1. when doing the treadmill on an incline DO NOT HANG ON I dont know if you do but I see soooo many people doing this that I'm just going to assum, WHY? because every time you step while doing this, your hips dislodge a bit...which over time adds up to you having bad hips2. Eat right3 meal and 3 snacks a daywhere the snacks are an apple/orange/whatever and the last snack something like cottage cheese that will slowly be digested over the nightEAT A HEALTHY BREAKFAST Its called breakfast for a reason, because you're taking a break from fasting and your body needs those healthy calories3. LIFT WEIGHTS and NO you won't get all bulkyI've seen 110 pound girls bench press 225 pounds so I'm willing to bet any amount of money that you dont wake up looking like a guy all of a sudden4. DONT listen to oprah/dr phil

Anything and everything is possible if you BELIEVE it is. Burning fat is NOT that difficult, trust me, I used to be very obese and I'm now a healthy chap. There are no short-cuts, you will need to exercise regularly and eat right. Jog on the treadmill for 20 mins daily and then cycle for another 20 mins. After that, pump some iron to boost your metabolism.I also recommend a herbal supplement such as Acai Berries, which will assist in weight loss. But please understand that they are NOT a replacement for exercise. You can find a review about Acai Berries at http://www.trustedreviews.us/weight-loss-products/acai-berry-review/
