They supress metabolism or apetite.. Perhaps both. Thats the only pharmological effect a drug could have.

They eff you up.They speed up your heart rate and metabolism w/ caffine or ephedra and you feel like ur heart is beating out of your chest.Or they make you poo a lot. Which can make you sick too.The only one that's not massively dangerous is Alli cause its FDA approved in the USA and it just blocks fat and gives you gas

You are doing yourself good. Do not believe in any diet pills. It is all commercial. Cut down your fatty meals & put yourself on regular exercise.

some of them make you lose the water in your body so it can be dangerous if it is not under the supervision of a specialist.

I strongly advise you do not take them. They cause great stomache pains, and also you have constant diarrhea. My friend used them for ages, An she just stayed the same.My advice would be, Up the excersie, dont cut down on food intake, instead, change what you are eating. Also, Multivitamins (tablets, nothing chemical though) These help alot, to keep you fit and help protect against colds etc.Hope this helped,Good luck.Alexx

They get up really early, eat a balanced breakfast and show up early. They exude a contagious zeal for life that just annoys everyone else in the workplace but they will damn well make partner before you! PS: no pills. or pepsi. or bacon. just work out and eat better. Sorry hun, It is THE only way to do it right.

There are a few different types you can get, most which need a dr's prescription. There are amphetamines based ones (eg, duramine) which basically speed up your metabolism and suppress your appetite. They work well but are very dangerous as they can become addictive and have a number of different side effects, like severe mood swings, dehydration and can speed up your heart rate dangerously...Then there are others (xenical) that basically stop the tiny hairs on your small intestine from working (which are what store all the fats) meaning that anything fatty that you eat will be passed... very messy! If there is anything that i have learned from taking diet pills, its that its not worth it. Eventually your body starts relying on them and the second you stop using them the weight comes back on twice as fast.

It depends on what type of diet pills. Some cause your heart to beat faster which speeds up your metabolism. Some will suppress your appetite. If you are trying to lose weight, check out my blog and see how I lost 44 lbs in 90 days. http://www.sarahsweightloss.info

Be careful with diet pills--I've had some bad experiences trying some of them. What I did find to work really well though was a natural supplement of Acai berry which I actually saw on Oprah and Rachel Ray. It was a while ago, but I ordered a free sample from http://ultraacaiberry.com/y/ and it's been great for helping increase my energy, metabolism, and keeping my body healthy! I've lost weight and I feel much, much better than I did when I was on the pills.

Three steps that have really helped me are dieting, exercising, and the correct weight loss supplement for losing weight. Focus on those three things and you will lose weight considerably. I exercise 30 mins a day along with taking Proactol, a natural weight loss supplement that I saved money on at theweightlossplace.com Good luck and stay focused = )
