Hey guys,I was bulimic/anorexic for about 2 years, to the point where I was even hospitalized due to it. I've had a few setbacks where I've almost fallen back into it time and again, but I always stopped myself before I could cause more damage to myself... (not saying I still do it, because I will never...ever.. resort to it again) and I haven't resorted to it in about a year now. Anyways, my question is: What would be the best way for an ex-bulimic to lose weight? I've dieted, I've exercised excessively, I've taken vitamin supplements (B-complex, lipoic acic, acai, etc). But I still haven't seen one budge on the scale! And I've been doing this for months now! Does anyone have any advice for me before my mind goes nuts and convinces me to fall back into the vicious cycle of eating disorders? (which I never want to happen again, but its the only way that has ever worked for me unfortunately), I could sure use it!I am on a strict diet, I count calories, ive tried eating very small portions multiple times throughout the day, Ive tried becoming vegetarian, then that didn't work so I changed once again, I have yet to try a fad diet like shakes or anything, but common sense tells me that wont work anyways, and i try to do cardio or aerobic exercises for 45 minutes 6 times a week...now do you see my problem a little better?

I would make an appointment with a dietician. Explain your history and ask them to help you to put a plan together. With your recent history I would try not to self-regulate. Asking someone professional and objective to talk you through how much you need to lose and how best to do this.Good luck.

well, its sound like you have to go lower on your diet, whateva you eating now try to eat half of that...and stretch dat thru the day, i use to make myself trow up 2, but dats not a solution anymore, so you have to cut down, cut down cut down, on what you eat, and go to the saunna and steming room, you could find that at your local gym, and drink a lot of water...dat will make you sweat, therefore, u will loose weight, so, thats it, if you follow that it should work...hope dat was helpful...

just like any other person would, basically burn more than you eat but you do have to eat right. taking all these pills and shakes wont do a thing to help except to get you amped up with energy. diets are not meant to make people loose weight, its just a word that explains how you eat. exercise does work but if only doing 30 min a day for 3days a week ur not gonna see much results. but if you really want to see ur body change do about an hour to two hour workout for 5 days a week, all free weights. you can find a workout plan on the net or maybe even youtube. but i suggest going to the gym for a couple hours then find a place to run outside and i say outside b/c on a treadmill there isn't hills, bumps and dips and curves. and you dont have to run for a long time. just 10min of sprinting burns more than an hour of jogging. and if you really stick to it for a month while eating right like chicken, tuna, turkey ext. you will see a difference. all you have to do is keep you body active and you'll burn fat. hope it helps.
