I just got done with a pretty tough kickboxing class. 30 minutes into the routine, I had to stop because I started seeing white. It got worse and worse for about a minute, and then my hearing started fade out too. Things sounded really far away and quiet (even the loud speaker music). That all happened in about a 2 minute period. I just stood with my head between my legs and tried to breathe deeply. It went away, and now I'm fine... but that was really weird!Generally, I'd consider myself in average shape. I'm 21 years old, 5'9", 148 lbs. Also, I happened to have a heart rate monitor on. When I felt my hearing going away, it read 80 bpm. Maybe it's wrong, I don't know, but my heart HAD been at 160-170 when things were going fine 5 minutes earlier. One last thing, I take Adderall regularly and this has never happened. I had my last dose (10mg) about 3 hrs before this happened.Any information would be great. Thanks!!! |

| I'm sorry, I am not sure what that was. See a doctor! See a doctor! Do not prolong it. It could definetly be more serious than you think. |

| you probably didnt eat and drink enough before you started exercising. its important to do so or you'd only be hurting yourself rather than helping yourself. |

| This happened to me once at an outdoor summer rock concert.... I agree, I think you were dehydrated. I know that's what was wrong with me, and the whole whiteness and hearing loss thing is you sort of half-fainting (people can faint when dehydrated). In the future, be sure to drink at least 8 oz. of water half an hour or so before your work out, and plenty of water throughout the day too. And remember that caffeine is dehydrating, so soda doesn't count and (you didn't say anything about this but I'm just throwing it out there) coffee for a jolt of energy before a work out is a bad idea. |
