"3 times a day"? I think this is a bad idea. Work out once to exhaustion - maybe 3 sets of 8 or 6 reps - what ever it takes. Then don't lift for a day or two. You are not giving your mussels time to recover.

yes......... whether you are running or doing lifts, its helpful for your body and your spirit. most importantly, if you want to lose weight and gain muscle more effectively, i suggest a meeting with a nutritionist. they will make you a schedule so that you dint have to worry about anything., but to eat right evey day.

well it really depends. how old are you? metabolism? eating habits? there is a different answer for all of these. if you've been doing this 1 week you will probably see really good for a while then all of a sudden, nothing will happen. this is because of the plateau stage. what that means is if you do all the above for a while, your muscles will get a good workout, but eventually, they will get used to it and the results will stay the same. try looking up different workouts and doing a little bit of everything. Muscle confusion. that's the fastest thing to losing weight and gaining muscle, since your muscle don't have time to get used to anything. if you look at Tony Horton's videos or go see P90X you will see what I am talking about

First you never mentioned your height, weight, body fat %. Now in order to lose weight you have watch your diet. 70 to 80 % is diet and cardio. I do not see you doing cardio at all. In the initial stage do extensive cardio then about two weeks to four weeks later include weight. If you do not do cardio it's of no use to build yourself up. I think 3 times a day is a bit too much. After two to four weeks of intense cardio, do 3 days a week of weight training and 3 days of cardio.
