Ok, I'm 5'3'', 15 years old, and I weigh 190. About 3 years I had to go on massive amounts of perscription steroids which proved to not help at all because I still had to have surgery. But it made me gain like, 50 pounds! I've never been OBESE before, maybe like 5-10 pounds over weight, but never like MORBIDLY OBESE and its killing me! I haven't been able to loose this weight! I need to know how to loose this weight! My sweet 16 is in 4 months, and I know I can't loose 50 pounds in 4 months, nor am I trying to. Maybe like, 15 or 20 though? Is there any like, diet pill I can take at my age? WITHOUT my parents having to know about it? I also have a thyroid problem that I take synthroid for everyday, but a VERY low dossage, would taking diet pills hurt me at all? Please, I really need to get my life back on track, any answer would be great, just no mean ones please =(Please and Thankyou!WOW. thankyou guys so much! Everyone's answer really helped. I'm deffinately going to follow up and let you guys know how I'm doing. Thanks alot, I really feel I can do it now =)

To effectively reduce body fat you need to change your diet, get in some cardio, and some weightlifting.Diet: Diet should be based around 40% protein, 30% carbohydrates, and 30% fats. Carbohydrates should be low GI for most of your diet, but high GI upon awakening and post-workout.Those are two times that glycogen levels are depleted from the muscles and liver, causing insulin spikes to store glycogen in the muscles and liver as opposed to adipose tissue. Fats should primary be healthy, with no trans-fats, and no more than 10% of the fats from saturated fats, with the majority from unsaturated fats.Examples-High GI Carbohydrates: melons, jelly, raisins, white bread, baked potatoes, kool aid...Low GI Carbohydrates: sweet potatoes, oat bran bread, apples, oatmealCheck out this site for more examples: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/issa5.htmUnsaturated Fats: Avocados, fish, nuts and seeds, olive oilCardio: Do HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). HIIT is the most effective cardio exercise, burning fat 9 times more effectively than any other cardio. It should only be done 2-3 times a week, non-consecutively, due to it's intensity. It is also the only cardio that does not burn muscle mass (which will help you reach a nice, "toned" look). Here is a site on how to do HIIT: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/wotw40.htmWeightlifting: Use heavy weights and low reps, I cannot stress this enough, there is so much misinformation about low weights and high reps toning, but that's all completely myths. All low weights and high reps do are increase endurance and completely fatigue slow-twitch muscle fibers, they do not tone!Another thing you need to know, you require 2 full days of rest minimum for a muscle that you have worked out to repair and rebuild. You can still workout everyday, this just means that for 2 days, the muscle you just worked out will not be worked out.Don't worry about getting bulky. Muscle mass actually helps burn fat, and females can not get bulky without the use of steroids, since females have 1/10 the amount of testosterone as males. Here is a sample exercise routine for you:Monday: Deltoids, TricepsTuesday: TrapsWednesday: HIITThursday: Legs, ForearmsFriday: Chest, BicepsSaturday: HIITSunday: HIITHere is a sample diet for you, around 2,000 calories, which may or may not be too much for you to lose weight, if it is too much, try reducing the amounts of food from each meal I suggested:Breakfast: Oatmeal, 1 whole egg, 1 orangeSnack: Oat bran bread and a serving of lean chickenLunch: Serving of lean beef/ lean chicken/fish, and an applePre-workout Snack: Scoop of Whey protein in water, and a serving of fruit.Snack (Post-workout): Either have a small serving of fish here, or you can have a 1/2 scoop of Whey protein and 1/2 scoop of Casein protein mixed with all natural organic peanut butter, water/milk, and possibly fruit too, especially if this is after a workoutDinner: Serving of fishBefore bed: Cup of cottage cheese, or a scoop of casein proteinIf you don't understand something I said, just ask, or if you need more examples, sites, science behind any of this, feel free to ask. Also, to answer your question about diet pills, they are useless without a proper nutrition from real foods.Edit: There was an error with the sites, but I re-posted them.

well i take synthroid too and even though i'm hypo thyroid i never gained weight so i'm pretty sure that if your on the right dosage then your metabolism should be working just like any body elses but what you need to do BEFORE trying diet pills is watch your calorie intake and exercise. tell your parents what you want to do and i'm sure they will be supportive and maybe they will even take you to a nutritionist or doctor which could help a lot. if you really want to lose the weight though, you need to understand that it will take determination and hard work. you can't just go out and eat whatever you want. you are going to need to have amazing self discipline but i promise it will pay off

See a dietician/doctor, and talk to your parents. You should not be considering taking diet pills without letting your parents know.

DO NOT start taking pills without talking to your doctor. This could be VERY dangerous. You're already on one medication, and you have proof of how strange medicines can screw up your body. There are no easy solutions. If you gained a whole bunch of weight just because of a new steroid and it hasn't come off yet, then your doctor should probably examine your overall health and see if anything is wrong. You may need a higher dosage of thyroid medications. However, it's quite possible that the doctor will want to hold off because of your age. You are still young (and not very tall) and it's not a good idea to mess around too much with a young person's body because it can give you problems in adult life. Are your parents taller than you? It is possible that the weight you are holding will come off if you have any more growth spurts. People quite commonly become plump before becoming tall - it's storing up the energy in order to build the rest of you.I would suggest doing some research into hypothyroid conditions. Some people find they respond a lot better to drugs other than Synthroid, or to higher dosages. If you were an adult I would say sure, you could probably lose 20 pounds in 4 months if you tried, but because you are young and your health has already had weird things happen, like your doctor I want to be cautious. Many crazy diet plans are not actually that healthy, especially for a growing body.*hugs* Being a teenager is rough, no matter what you look like.

No pills lol, do it right and don't do it by yourself. Tell your parents/freinds/doctors/whoever and make them keep you on track, if you have people knowing about your plans, you'll be less likely to fall off because of embarrassment.Do cardio 6 days a week for 30-60 minutes. Running, walking, jogging, sports, swimming (best imo), dancing, jumping rope, (shadow) boxing, whatever, just be active. Don't take more than the same day off per week and don't overtrain then undertrain etc. 6 days a week for 30-60 minutes, and stick to it. Find your BMR and how much you burn from exercise, then eat 500 less. Eat 6 meals spaced 2-3 hours apart, don't skip (even if you're full) or cheat. Don't eat below 1200 calories, you should be around 1700+, so it should be a problem. Water > everything, drink it at every meal and between meals.Eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains for carbs. Lean chicken/turkey breast, eggs, fish, and nuts for protein. Fats from natural peanut butter, eggs, nuts, and oils. You need all 3 in moderation, around 50% carbs, 30% protein, 20% fats.Don't weigh yourself often, contant weighing depresses a lot of people and causes them to fall off because of water weight or minimal losses over a few hours. Once a week first thing in the morning if you must. remember, mirror image > scale. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=2845231 http://fitday.com

i really wouldn't turn to diet pills.half the time they don't work.the other have the time theres some insane side effect, and you're only 15 and diet pills aren't recommended for anyone under the age of 18.start by watching what you eat. completely eliminate any beverages besides water. something small like that can and will make a difference if you re not doing that already. for breakfast, eat something light, maybe a yogurt, oatmeal, a piece of fruit, a boiled egg, simple things like that. don't eat a heavy meal or oily food in the morning. throughout the rest of the day, just watch what you eat, eat when you're hungry, not just because you're bored or sad. go for a daily walk. whether it may be around the neighborhood, or if you have a dog that's a bonus, but doesn't matter where, but just walk for an hour or so. (theres also a recommendation for stretching)and for the rest try to stay outside. do something during the day, go to the movies (but don't go to the stand and get popcorn, a soda, nachos and candy) or hang with some friends, ice skating, grocery shopping, doesn't matter, as long as it keeps you entertained and mind off of food, do it. last but not least, stick to it. weigh yourself once a week to see how youre doing.

Ok...here's the deal...start reading labels on everything you eat...You can have 10 carbs in a day...1 carb=15mg (check the box)a carb is a carb...potato, fudge....anything sweet...corn, peas are also carbs. Also, watch the fat...it's not as important as carbs though. I lost 20lbs in 2 months...I was diagnosed with diabetis. Your parents shouldn't freak out of you trying to lose a few pounds that way...after all, you're still eating...you're just watching a little more closely

First of all take a deep breath. You do not and should not need to take diet pills. I myself take a low dosage thyroid supplement and am afraid of putting on weight. Over the last three months I have been exercising, by lifting weights and doing cardio. I also watch what I eat. Start gettting into healthy habits, you don't have to go to the gym. Go for a 2 mile brisk walk everyday. Not only will you get exercise but also fresh air and it will clear your mind and make you feel better. Also eat healthy. Include protein and veg in your diet. Reduce saturated fats and sweets. It will take you time to lose the weight, but it will be worth it. There is no quick answer and with taking thyroid medication, I would be extremely cautious of taking any diet pills. Hope this helps you and be happy, you are going to reach sweet 16, this only happens once. Take positive measures to improve your well being and everything will work out! All the best!

Three steps that have really helped me are dieting, exercising, and the correct weight loss supplement for losing weight. Focus on those three things and you will lose weight considerably. I exercise 30 mins a day along with taking Proactol, a natural weight loss supplement that I saved money on at theweightlossplace.com Good luck and stay focused = )
