I'd like to start a vitamin/supplement regimen but I'm not sure what vitamins I should/shouldn't be taking.

A multi-vitamin is good enough. Women should get extra calcium as well. Check out all the options in the link.

it depends on what you are eating. multi vitamins shuld always be taken once a day, its basically all the vitamins in it, so if u didnt get a certian vitamin frorm a food, or if u dont like a certian trype of food or are going though a stage where u dont like eating fruit then u shuold take vitamin c, and if u dont like dairy, then eat calcium+d, also take vitamin b for your nerves, all vitamins are good, those 4 are the ones that i normally take, but sometimes i forget, but i am eating very healthy too. Break dance. eat at least 2500 cals a day. Muscle weighs more than fat, don’t try to loose weight, sleep 8 hours, eat healthy fruits veggies and 20+cups of water everyday, meats dairy and breads are healthy too, for 6 hours, exersize hard sweaty out of breath painful exersize for 8 hours, u can do 1min exersize 1 min eat, to the full 6 and 8 hours or any time in between, 2 hours for showers, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktAvn0Mdo8g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0ZehlH3bBk

A very 'healthy' friend of mine told me to go to Realage.com ( http://www.realage.com/homepage.aspx) and take the Realage "test". You answer a bunch of questions and then they send you the results instantly. The results include a list of all the stuff you should be doing (including vitamin supplements) and it tell you why and how much. They send 'tips' once a week after, based on your test. At first I thought...great: MORE spam...now I read the whole dang thing and it really keeps me on my toes. We all get lazy about diet and exercise... I actually feel better since I fixed up my diet. I swear I do not work for Realage...LOL! Good luck!

You definitely should be taking a good vitamin everyday. Research has shown that it is impossible to get the nutrition we need soley through food because of the processing and chemicals used in today's food. An international wellness company just finished a study that proved that vitamins such as centrum, Usuna, Arbonne, GNC, etc. actually crystalize in the small intestine and give off free radicals, which can lead to cancer. They just published this info and have put out a solution to the problem--they now use Oligofructose complex in their vitamins. Oligofructose Complex binds minerals to organic compounds (oligofructose and amino acids) to mirror the way minerals are found in fruits and vegetables to help resolve the problems with traditional multivitamins. Oligofructose Complex helps keep minerals soluble in the intestine—where nutrient absorption takes place. Oligofructose Complex helps protect the potency of vitamins by guarding the minerals, reducing their ability to generate excess free radicals. I know that sounds like a lot of scientific jargon, but the bottom line is you're wasting your money on vitamins if you are taking anything else and possibly harming your health rather than helping it.Their vitamins are also specific to your needs. For instance, they have children's vitamins, prenatal, over 50, women only and men only, because each group has different needs. These vitamins are manufactured and developed by the company and are only available through the company. And the only way to get them through the company is to be referred by a happy customer, which I am! I've been using the vitamins for several years now and have seen a great increase in my energy and lowered my triglyceride level by hundreds. I've tried other things, but would never go back to anything else now. Here's to your health!
