I was exactly your size and height...I am now about 133 lbs, and I found the easiest way to lose weight (for me) was to keep track of my calories. I go to DailyPlate.com and the forums are great there too.You can also just keep track in your own way. Also, of course exercise helps, but it's truly 75% diet that makes you lose weight. I learned this the hard way by exercising every day, but eating the same as I used to. Of course I got in better shape, but I didn't lose weight.

Your beautiful the way you are! But, Try eating 6 small meals a day doing that will make your metabolism work ALL day long. Running at least 30 mins a day 5 days will burn tons of calories and give you more energy. Try eating Leafy greens and meat. The easiest way to lose weight is to stay away from processed or High carb foods.

Go to your local public library or book store and get a book that lists the calorie and carbohydrate contents of foods, make a list of the lowest of each, design your meals around those foods. And Run, Run, and Run, and when your tired of Running, Run some more.Never eat a meal larger than your fist. Drink only water.

My Dear The best way to loose weight is to use up more than you take in. If you eat 1000 calories than you must work off over 1000 calories. SIMPLE to say>> Harder to do I know. Add up what you eat in calories per day>> See if you can cut some of that food out or lower the amount Than add up the amount you work off>> See if you can increase this by a little>> Little by little IT WILL WORK

Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.Make a few additional small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Start a weight lifting routine. It will help increase your metabolism and make you feel and look better in so many ways. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can't get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. A couple of the links I've included explain how. In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy. Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don't. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies. Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you need about 2200 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day. Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Drink plenty of water (no fruit juices - too many calories, so get your fruit from fresh fruit nor the juice), at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely. You will begin to see changes in your body. Check out websites about nutrition, exercise, weight training, etc. Here are a couple of helpful links. http://www.nutrawatch.com/ http://www.caloriesperhour.com/ http://www.helpguide.org/life/healthy_eating_diet.htm http://weightloss.about.com/cs/fitness/a/aa011503a.htm http://www.thepumpingstation.com/trainingtipsforwomen.html http://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/features/no-weight-workout?page= 4
