Two hours is overkill and wasting your time. If you want to lose weight, combine 30 minutes of fast treadmill walking (4 mph or more) with strength training. A study done at the Univ of Florida showed cardio and strength training combined lets you lose weight faster than just cardio. A solid weight workout will take about 45 minutes, plus 30 for cardio and you're done in 1-1/4 hours.

It will certainly help. 30 -40 minutes a day is enough to do the job though. What you are after is exercise to work that butt so that you rbody responds by using fat for energy to repair your sore leg mscles. No need for 2 hours to do that. You need to eat properly as well... you know.. fresh fruit and vegetables.. lean grilled meat... absolutely no processed or packaged food... and drink lots of water.Good luck, get passed the first 6 weeks and you could develop a nasty addiciton to the gym (I did...lol)

Do 20 minutes of running that will burn more calories. The harder you workout the less time you need to spend in the gym!
