| i play soccer in the fall, and i haven't been working out AT ALL this summer. i've probably gone running once, for 10 minutes and the distance was about a mile. i'm not really a natural runner, the fastest mile i've ever run was just under 8 min and that was after my freshman season when we went on long run every other day. i didn't play a sport in the spring so i was already out of shape going into summer. now i have 2 weeks to cram in as much as i can, as i have to make time for a shuttle run to be able to play varsity - i was on it last year. when we ran it in the spring, i was 2 seconds over the time required but that was after not working out at all for months and my shoe fell off at the start. in addition to making time, we have to run it 2 more times with 3 minutes in between for rest, and our time can't change by 5 seconds either way. any tips on how to make this time!?!? HELP! |
