|
|
| My dietician recomends yoga for my type II diabetes. My psycologist recomends yoga for my manic disorder. My foot doctor suggested yoga when I developed tendinitis from running. When I take yoga classes, I have been for a year, I am sometimes the only man in the class. Also, pregnant women get breathing advice in classes and yoga teachers mention not to do specific poses if a women are on thier periods. I like yoga and a few more men are taking it, unlike pilates where the classes are mainly women. |

| Not gay....my very masculine hubby has taken it for his back (Doctor recommended)I do find that men in these type of classes tend to be very in touch with their masculinity though. |

| I hate questions like these. They have nothing to do with each other. It's like asking, "I like pie, does that mean I have green eyes", or "I'm a doctor, do I have a dog named Jim?"Stupid question. NO, you're not gay for taking yoga. Yoga is very good for every part of your body. |

| lol just take it, it's not unmanly. if you don't question your masculinity, no one else will either.besides, i thought straight guys would be thrilled to be surrounded by women; lol jk.but anyway yeah it's no big deal, macho football players do ballet, so no problem with you doing yoga. |

| My hubby has type 2 diabetes and he has been heaps better mentally since he started yoga. What is it with these people who post exactly the same answer to different questions? They just put links to their web sites, it really annoys me.You have two people who have answered your question who gave the exact same answer to heaps of others.BTW: What is so bad about gay people? |

| No, it's not gay at all! There is a lot of ignorance and stereotyping about yoga here in the US (in some places), which is why a lot of men won't even try it. They think it's just too "girly", but that is just dumb! I say, keep doing yoga if it makes you happy and feels good. Don't worry about it being "gay" just because you are a guy. If men in India can practise yoga and still be considered manly, then you have nothing to worry about! |

| No, it's not gay for men to take Yoga. In fact, it's the best way to keep fit and healthy for the both sexes. Men and women must practice yoga, if they want to be more energetic, and live the healthy and active lifestyle. My advice for you is to go on with your yoga exercises. Don't give up!By the way, here is a very nice free yoga e-course for you, to discover more: http://www.yoga-health-beauty-energy.com/All the best |
