I used to run a lot, but I had larger measurements. Now I just try to be active- walk to classes, stretch, swim now and then. But I don't go to the gym because it made me eat a lot and I don't enjoy it anymore.I do eat VERY healthily-- mostly a well balanced vegan diet with fish and egg whites. I still feel a little guilty for not working out, but my clothes fit a lot better since reducing my food intake. When I was 123, everybody said what good shape I was in, and I didn't work out! Now at 133, people just say, 'you look healthy.' Even though a lot of it is muscle mass (I'm 5'Cool. I guess I'd rather be 123 with less muscle mass.Does anybody look "good" without working out?

Make sure you're doing a lot of toning exercises, I think that's what makes people look good. I also like the playground fitness routine in the source.

Only if you have the genetics to back you up. Take note though... due to you not working out as much as before you have lost muscle mass and gained fat content. Personally, I would rather be 123 lbs and fit due to health issues that could come up due to an increase of body fat.

I'm 5'2" and I'm under 100 lbs. I don't look underweight, since all my physical attributes are petite and match my small frame. I don't work out, but I used to walk to school during my elementary days and my high school days. I do wish for a toned muscle look tho lol

I don't really know if I look "good" or not. I have never worked out and I stay pretty small. I am very petite, 4'11" and about 85-90 pounds. I sometimes get depressed and loose my appetite for a few weeks at a time and eat a lot less, and loose weight very quickly. Then everyone tells me I look sick. But all the time people tell me I would look better if I put on a few pounds. I walk my dog almost daily, but I never work out.

I don't work out and I look good for my age..but I do walk alot which helps out also.....no I do not go walking I just take a longer way to get to the restroom or to my desk....I also don't eat healthy....and no you would rather want to look healthy and 123 pounds at 5'8 is too too thin for your size.....I am 5'5 and 150 lbs but we are more solid than weight...so the muscle mass is all that does show and no I am not muscular I just have my weight in the right places so being a mother of 4 grown sons and 10 grand kids. I must say I get alot of compliments sometimes on a daily basis on how good I look for my age and being a grandmother.

lol.. not exactly. but i'm constantly being told nowadays that i'm losing weight, and i havent changed my eating pattern since third grade nor have been working out. must be all the time i spend on the computer. but i eat like my dad. im the type of person that eats at least seven tacos in one sitting. when it comes to pizza, i'm the type of person that eats at least the eight slices in a box in one sitting. the type of person that would eat more than five krispy kreme donuts one after the other. so i really don't see how i can be getting any skinnier. oh gosh! i just went to weigh myself now, and i'm five kilos lighter than i was at the beginning of this year! seriously don't know how it's possible

Hey Alicia, You have to work-out. NOBODY likes to work -ut but baby girl you have to do it for your health. There are a lot of work outs you can do that won't build muscle mass if that is what bothers you. I know it bothers me. I hate it.. I have larger than normal calves and I hate them. However, with Yoga and Pilates it helps to make your muscles longer and leaner looking. I bought the work out dvd's called "Yoga Booty Ballet" And for ME anyway it really has made me feel more comfortable with working out and looking leaner. I have the body type that if I did weight lifting I could become a body builder because my body type makes muscle very easly. And I do not like that look on women nor on men.. I like a clean cut muscle look. and longer muscles make you look good in my opinion. I would suggest doing Yogo or Ballet.. I think you will like the way your body will look. But everyone must work-out.. We have to especially women to keep our Hearts Healthy.

Not me...I have to work at it. I'm in the gym at least 5 days a week, my diet is right for me, but I can't and don't want to stop. By the way, your weight at 5'8" and 133 is really good...I'd stay right there. A close woman friend of mine is 5'9" at 140 with only 8% body fat and she looks rock solid and she's very strong for a woman..of course she's been in to fitness damn near all her life and she 36 now but looks 22 or so...If I were training you and your goal was to go down to 123, of course with proper diet you could hit that in an easy 6 weeks or so, but if you're lifting to really tone well you'll put on some muscle and that weights more then fat so you may lose some in the beginning but you'd level off at about 128 then go up slightly from there. But in six weeks you'd look really good, and be a lot stronger as well. you're fine at 133 and if you feel comfortable at that weight stay with it. Don't let others influence how they thing you SHOULD look...it's about how YOU feel about how you look..

People ask me all the time if I lift weights, but I don't.My biceps are in excellent shape and the rest of me looks good, too.I try to eat a healthy diet, also.I tell people it's just the way my body is, everyone is different.I stay busy; on my feet and doing something all the time. When I relax it's usually while I sleep or when we go canoeing, walking by the creek, bike riding for fun and so on.Stay Healthy!!Stay Happy!!
