I'm a 15 year old 5'3 female and I weight about 153. I have been overweight my whole life. 3 years ago I got serious about losing the weight. I eat really healthy and aim for about 1200 calories a day so I usually end up eating eating a max of 1500. I exercise at least 4 times a week. I am quite muscular but I still am overweight. I can't get the weight off. I don't know what more to do. I really want the weight off. I feel sooo disgusting.

well first off you should have estimated how many calories you take in in one day, before the diet and every week lets say you ate 5000 calories you will reduce every week by 200-300 colories so your body wont go into starvation shock, have you ever had your thyroid checked about losing weight. have you lost any weight or gained, muscle is also heavy.

Have you been doing that for 3 years and not lost anything? That sounds like it might be a medical problem. You should go talk to your doctor about it.

first know your body needs at this site http://weightloss4all.tblog.com/ & then it will help you to make a proper diet plan for you. You can calculate your BMI here & then know if you are overweight or underweight. & choose your diet & exercise accordingly. I think this site http://weightloss4all.tblog.com/ will help you a lot in choosing your plan. This site will also help you in maintaining that weight also after loosingor gaining so you must see that also.

Do you repeat the same exercises and reps? MAybe you could change those up and incorporate more cardio. Try interval training like jogging for a few minutes then walk for a few minutes then sprint. mix things up like that. Also depending on what your eating, you might want to include more veggies and fruit in your diet. Also reduce the fat. A lot of "health foods" contain loads of fat (i.e nuts and nut butters, smoothies).Leaner meats may also be a good choice ( unless you don't eat meat like me Smile.

you might just be gaining muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat does.

it is possible that you are big boned. We look fatter than we are. A big boned person may wear a size 16 at your weight where a small boned person at your weight will wear a size 14. Stick to the 1200 calories. sounds like you are all muscle. Have your doctor check your bmi or go to mypyramid.gov or sparkpeople.com and check it out.

Forget crazy diets for losing weight.. Acai Berry is this new product I've been trying after seeing it on Oprah. I'm already seeing results!! You should give it a shot, here's a special link for a free 14-day trial.
