if i do 3 hours of walking a day, plus 100 sit ups and 40-50 weight lifts everydayis this too much, ive heard that excessive cadio can strip away muscle but is that true, cause the only way muscle would be lost is if i was starvingso is this too much cardio and would it trigger loss of muscle??(i dont want to hear about i can jog instead of walk, i know)thanksim not on a weight loss dieti didnt understand that concept either.if too much cardio lost muscle than what about footballers, they dont look like stickmen, and they do loads of running

I don't think 3 hours of walking is too much cardio, and even if it was I doubt it would eat away at your muscle. I've never heard of that before.

I think the 3 hours of walking each day is a bit much, but walking really can't do any damage to ya, so if you really want to do, go for it! But I would recommend building up to these standards if you're not used to this level of intenseness of exercising, just going in " cold turkey" makes a higher risk of getting injured.

Since walking is very low-impact, this is definitely not too much exercise. However, you are correct that this routine will not help with building muscle. In fact, it's a bad routine if you're trying to build muscle. To clarify, this won't "strip away" muscle, but at the same time it won't help the muscles to grow.Any cardio that takes more than 10-15 minutes is going to work against building muscle. So if you're ok with the way you are now, then this is fine, but if you're trying to build muscle, you should change this up a little.Hope that helps.Good luck!
