I need a much higher calorie diet than I have now, because I cycle recreationally, bike commute, and its my main mode of transportation. I also tend to not eat as much as I think I should, I'm 6'6" and weigh in at a lean, but strong 170. I can eat a banana and a cup of coffee before noon, but when i buy "lunch", i seldom finish it, i kind of graze and pick at food over the afternoon, eat a reasonable dinner, but not as much as i wish i could eat, and then usually going on a cereal, fruit, and sandwich binge around mightnight before i go to bed. Is this healthy? I wish i could eat a solid 3 meals a day at regular meal times. How can i go about fixing this? i have a dietician in my family, but im almost embarassed to ask her. I literally can't make myself eat sometimes.

i dont think bingeing sp? is ever a healthy choice. and it seems like you may be lacking some nutrients in other food groups (depending what you put in your sandwich) so instead of going to the typical lunch spot like you normally do try going out to different places and try different dishes. that should help you find new foods that you may enjoy and increase your appetite. it helped my friend become less picky and eat more meals daily.
