My best guy friend is about 120kg and very short for a guy, around 5"4. He told me today that he is going to stop eating for a few weeks and just drink coffee in different forms (latte when at maccas, iced coffee, normal coffee) and that it should kick start his weight loss. What does everyone think? How much could he lose in a week?Thanks everyone!! He thought I was being negative when I told him it wouldn't be healthy!!

no it would just make him ill as we know too much caffeine isn't that healthy and without food it would make him ill. Get him on a healthy eating plan he will thank you in the end, if you stick around while he is on the "coffee diet" he will be so snappy you probably will fall out anyway

No eating? And just coffee? He's gonna die before he make it LOL! Instead of torturing himself why not just eat fruits vegetables and exercise. I think it would be better for both his health and diet.

no... if you have coffee with all the milk... its so much fat. and he will not be able to survive just on coffee. impossible

Obviously when you don't eat you lose weight. But it is very unhealthy to do. What he is doing is fasting and, depending on his body, he could lose 5-10 pounds a week or less/more. But it will be mostly water.

He is overloading his coffee with all those extra calories, and may end up actually gaining weight.Caffeine is a nerve stimulant and actually hinders weight loss.Tell him to eat a whole grain cereal with skim milk for breakfast, grilled chicken salad for lunch, and a healthy dinner. Drink 6-8 bottles of water a day to flush the toxins and unhealthiness out of your body.Do this for a month and you will lose about 10 pounds.

Yeah, It'll make him sick! I heard of this Doctor that put soooo much caffeine in his body he died besides he'll be sick AND hyper all morning!! you don't want the do u? besides I think he should start drinking diet cokes and stuff like that, eat some veggies once in while and maybe Exercise.....idk! i'm not a fitness expert!
