|
|
| When I jog or walk, my heel hits first, then the rest of my foot 'slaps' the ground. This has caused the top of my foot near the shin to ache all the time and hurt occasionally. It has also extended to the inside of my knee, facing the other leg. It didn't use to do that. I have been jogging for a little over a month and this started 2 weeks ago. I purchased running shoes and they were fine at first. Now all my shoes affect my foot the same way. Any suggestions on problem, treatment, etc.? |

go to a pediatrist. (foot doc)sounds like an arch problem tho. try getting a pair of arch supports that slip into ur shoe. If that doesn't help, it also may be a back problem. They way that ur back (spine) is aligned can effect that angle and support on ur feet and knees. When that angle is off, then what is likely to happen is that all the weight of your body is forced on ur knees and feet. Hope that helped alittle. If not, try www.webmd.com and use their symptoms checker. Try calling ur doc or get an appt. with a foot doc. |

| Not running on pavement helps some. I use Dr Scholl's Messaging Gel Insoles. The first five minutes wearing them feels freaky, but then they feel real good. Remove your old insoles and slide a pair of Dr Scholls insoles in your shoes. It should help. They are very very good for the feet. They are squishy and bouncy and really soften the blow. |

| When I was in the service we used to run every other day and some time around Christmas My heel was in excruciating pain the more I pushed on the worse it got. Then we left for 2 weeks to go see family when I got back the pain was gone. Just some good rest was able to help and then when we got back I started running at full speed again |

| It happens when you start regular running... Things will be ok... once you get used to it then Don’t hit your heel hard on the ground while running...Use a knee cap for a few days...Do a 5min warm-up before you start running... |

| Give it some rest, use some pain killer like aspirin or equal,do minimum walking as needed only. Say for a month or longer, must see some slow improvements in few days, if not go to a doctor right away.If the problem does not go away then get MRI and X' Ray done. Every one should avoid Jogging, as it is an high impact exercise, they can damage the tissues and even bones. There are many things that have same benefits that are very low impact, like power walk, that will burn same number of Cal.Your running shoes ran out of it's cushioning, invest in jell type padding, and add it to the foot ware. |
