|
|
| i already know how to calculate VO2 for running: (.2 x speed in m/min) + (.9 x speed m/min x incline) + 3.5. i was told the equation for cycling is [ (1.8 x workload kg/m/min) / weight in kg ] + 3.5. how do figure out workload? i know my distance and my speed and my body weight. i don't have access to machine bikes. also, is there a calculation for figuring ellipitical VO2? |

| Your VO2 max is what it is regardless of the activity. Without the proper equipment, all you'll get out of the formulas is a SWAG. I've had mine measured accurately in a lab (by the Gatorade people during one of their experiments), but its of no earthly use to me. Doesn't predict race results, and doesn't tell me if I can beat my competition. |
