Well, I've got a fixed bike in my room, and i've just started to do about 20 minutes a day on it. I want toned legs and a smaller tummy.I eat plenty, and I have the occasional treat. i'm about 62 kg and about 5 ft 4. Will it tone my legs and flatten my tummy if i do it everyday for 20 mins? and how long 'til i see results? please help!

Yes, cycling is great low-impact exercise! Some stationary bicycles even have levels of resistance that you can select to make pedaling more difficult, and some even tell you how many calories you are burning.Gradually increase your time as you become adjusted to it. It will make your thighs very strong.Good luck!

not usually unless its a HARD WORKOUT.usually the best to lose weight is major cardio.ive found that running has the best results.especially when you shift back and forth.example:walk for a couple minutes.then go into a light jog.then run.then back into a light jog.then walk and so forth.but cardio isnt much help without a healthy diet.:] if you want SPECIFIC details just email me.

Cycle at least 30 minutes aerobically. Eat 1500 calories or less per day. Raw vegetables and fruit do not count in your caloric intake. Instead of salad dressing use lemon juice. Drink water to excess.

30 min. a day is better, Don't remember to take 1 or 2(but no more)days off to give your body a rest, a drink a gallon of water everyday, your body can't break down fat without water! and it makes you feel full so you won't be tempted to grab those treats

I'm sorry, no. IF you stick to only 20 minutes a day. Your body will get stronger and will continue to WANT to work harder as it has more energy (aka food) to burn. You need to do the classic solution: work more, eat less. The key is when you get to the 10th minute and you feel it starting to get hard? That's the burn feeling. You want to stay in that feeling for 20 minutes and not just the last 10 minutes. You know when you feel its hard and you just push a little longer? Then push longer. Don't push harder, push longer at that same rate of burn. Hold that for 20 minutes. As your body gets stronger, just remember to get to that burn and hold it for 20 minutes. And eat only a banana and some yogurt in the next 40 minutes AFTER you're done. Water, too, but that's it. No other food for an hour after. Then moderate your eating throughout the day. Good luck.
