| hiya. im 14 weigh a little over 120 and im 5'4. I need to lose a significant amount of weight n 2weeks so i found this web site that shows u how to fast safley and efficiently. I think im gunna do a 10 day water fast and drink juice the rest of the week....the cite says ill b ok and it was made by a doctor but i was hoping yall cud post ur thawts about this. Im not sure if ill lose TOO much weight. Im struggling with bulemia so i was also wondering if this might trigger me n2 anorexia??? And i definitly dont want that happening!! |

| Uhm. That basicaly is anorexia with a neat little bow on top.Fad diets don't work. They never have, never will. You can't find some magic solution to just drop the pounds. You have to eat healty and exercise properly.And 120 at 5'4 is like the perfect weight. When you're five foot you're suppoused to be around 100, and then five pounds a foot there on up. So you're perfect. You don't need to lose any weight. |

| I did a cleanse for health reasons and I lost 12 pounds in one week. I am 130 and 5'8. Drink a huge water bottle of luckewarm(room temp) distilled bottled water all day. Try and drink at least 3 of them at 32 oz. each. Eat raw veggies all day and soup broth or jello. I ate steamed artichokes, and split pea soup by Amy's brand. Good luck. |

| Once you start eating again you'll just pile all the weight back on, if not more. You're fine the way you are anyway. |

| Your whole mindset has to change. There is no magic bullet for weight loss. Fast weight loss is always just a lose of water weight. While you are fasting, which is really starving, your body will go into 'starvation mode' and actually do everything to counteract your fasting. You may lose some weight over the 2 weeks but it in no way will be getting you toward permanent lose of weight. Immediately after stopping your 'fast' your body will kick into weight gain mode. You'll yoyo like that if you keep doing that and over a very short period of time? Guess what, you'll GAIN more and more and more weight and get depressed. Nothing in life that's worth doing should be done improperly and nothing that's worth doing is easy. That's the truth |

| For a female of 5'4" you should weigh between 122 - 145. You are already underweight!! Yes, it will trigger your bulimia and make you anorexic!! You are already too small.If you feel you need to do something, walk. Walk 30 minutes a day. The plan you are talking about is going to make your hair fall out and put you in the hospital. Do you want that? Fasting at your age is not at all healthy...your liver & kidneys will start to shut down & brain function will cease....along with the hair loss....you will be one ugly looking corpse. Anyone can put the letters DR, in front of their name and claim to be a doctor but that doesn't make it real. What makes you think you need to lose weight?? peer pressure?? get over it.Check out www.sparkpeople.com for a great food plan and some exercises too!! You'll be glad you did. There is a group there for bulimics & anorexics...look into it today. |

| When you do a fad diet such as what you are suggesting, your body goes into emergency mode and what you lose is muscle, not fat. It will retain the fat reserves and let all the water go from your system first, then other non essential things that it thinks is not essential like muscle. A good doctor would not prescribe something like this and would be telling you the truth about it. If you want to know the best way to lose weight, do it slow and steady, the same way you put it on. You are not overweight at 120 so not sure what you think you need to be at with a significant loss. Lay off the meats and all the high fat stuff and go with fruits and veggies, raw as much as possible and then add some nuts or legumes for your protein. It will be much better for you than the animal protein and if you think about it, how did the animal get it? From veggies. It takes 2.6 pounds of corn to produce one pound of beef or chicken, 3.6 pounds of corn to produce one pound of pork and the corn would be much better for you. Why not cut out the middleman, or animal in this case and go to the source? Vegetable protein is much easier for your body to digest and use so much healthier in the long run. Now just think too, about when you get off this water diet you are thinking of doing. What then? You gain all of the weight back and then some so you are worse off than when you started. So why not go the healthy way and make a lifestyle change where you can stay with it and eat all you want of the raw stuff and still lose weight? These fad diets don't work and are very dangerous but those that promote them are not going to tell you the truth but will only tell you lies to get you to follow them. And yes, it can trigger more of the anorexia as well when you do the fads. |
