Ive been a strict vegetarian for almost two years now.I eat no meat whatsoever, but i do eat animalbi-products. I started this as a diet, truthfully. I was 5'2" 138 pounds and the fat girl. I hadD boobs, and in the summer before sixthgrade that's hard to handle. I wore a size 8, barelyand i hated myself. I would look on pro-anorexia sitesand tried all kinds of diets. Now, two years later Iam 5'4" and 108 pounds. I still have D-cup boobs, and i still cross my arms and slouch more then i should. I fit into a 0-2, and while i never feel gorgeous i feelalot better then i used to.However, through the time periodi learned many benefits of not eating meat, but i know it's not healthy. I'm only supposedto be 5'6" now--originally i was estimated to be5'9".I take pills, but i know they don't help replacesome of the benefits of meat.Should i continue? Do anything different?Any advice is welcome.((:

it's not big news that skipping meat makes you miss out on vitamins and nutrients. however, it is quite healthy for you. you're so much less likely to have heart problems if you don't eat meat. if you're taking a nutrient supplement, you're fine. i have been a strict vegetarian (or vegan for all extensive purposes aside from avoiding wearing leather) my entire life. i have never touched a piece of meat or a dairy product in my life. i take a supplement and my doctor says i am as healthy as can be, actually healthier than other people my age. my sister is the same way and is also quite healthy. avoiding meat can do you a world of good. good luck!!

i definitely think you should continue if you've had such amazing weight loss and feel better about yourself. way to go, thats really inspirational Smile i wouldnt pay much attention to what your "estimated height" was. my doctor said i would be no less than 5' 6" and im only 5' 3"!!! chances are not eating meat has nothing to do with that. sounds like you're on a healthy diet and i wouldnt turn back now.

I've been a vegetarian for over 5 years now. I know it's difficult sometimes, but push through it. Protein is not just in meat and supplements. Try these:nutspeanut butter tofubeansseedsdairysome grainseggsvegetables fruitsObviously, some of those above don't have an excessive amount of protein, like others, but they will help you balance out your diet to be more protein-ful!

I dont see why not eating meat isnt healthy.theres nothing wrong with height. personally I think its stupid to go to a doctor or whatever to predict your height, thats just parents being paranoid. and if their kids are going off track then they have to supplement with vitamins and crap?? just let nature take its course.you can be healthy not eating meat, you can replace it with tofu and beans and legumes. meat replacements!! stuff with protein, look it up..

Being a vegetarian is very healthy. But once in a while a good meal of meat and nutrients is very good for your body and keep you in shape.

who says eating meat is healthy?you can get way more iron and zinc from nuts, beans and seeds...dairy food has more calcium and protein...even vegan dairy products are added with so many minerals that are in normal dairy products...

I think you should do what you feel is right for you. If you don't want to eat meat, for whatever benefits, don't eat it. I, seriously, do not believe it has anything to do with your height. (Forget the predictions on what your height should be....)As for your "boobs", perhaps you could find some fashions that would allow you to stand up tall and still have confidence... like vests... Talk to your mom or a store clerk about it. Maybe write to a teen fashion magazine for some help, suggestions.Standing up tall would help you grow tall. : )

There are a couple of nutrients found in meat such as B12 but that can be replenished with sublingual B12 drops or other!! i am a firm believer in protein and veggies and fruits for a good diet!!! You need the protein since you are still developing !!My favorite source is salmon or any COLD water fish since it is also high in essential fatty acids - vital to good health!!! I eat meat only a couple of times a year and I live a very hectic and active lifestyle !! I am also 6' ad weigh 190 with a body fat % of 17 !!!! what else is good are the potein drinks such as whey or soy and the green super foods powder that you can put in juice!! Take your pick of suggestions -or not- the choice is yours'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally think it's great that you're a vegetarian, and I'm not going to try to convince you otherwise. But 5'4 and 108... I'm sure you look great. You're at a good weight, even a little on the slim side.If you DO decide to take up meat again, for whatever reason, I have a bit of advice. Don't just pig out, all of the sudden. The shock will cause your body to freak out, and you'll probably throw it back up. Start small. Eat a small peice of ham, peice of bacon, or something of that nature. Don't start immediatley on the red meat. Do that for a while, and gradually increase until you can tolerate the meat again. Trust me, you'll wish you had.I have a question, though. Did you consult your doctor? If not, you might want to now. Tell him you've not eaten meat in two years, and ask him what other pills you can take.If you have any other questions, feel free to email me. :]NOTE**I was predicted to be 5'6. I am 5' even, and I eat meat on a daily basis.

Hi,I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss (it's actually a colon cleanse) and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it (it's 100% natural). The results were excellent. I lost about 20 pounds in 2 months with this detox. That's why I recommend you check this product at http://www.easy-diet-fit.us where they have a free trial and you only pay $4.95 shipping and handling.Good luck!
