That's great! I know it sounds weird, but that means you're working over you're body's limit and it's just getting used to it. That means you had a great workout.

Make sure to stretch before and after your workouts. If you don't, that may be why you ache.

A little sore is good .... barely walking is bad. You over did it at the gym. Take it a little slower. If you hurt yourself every time you go - you will lose interest very quickly.

that my friends is what we call DOMS (Delayed onset muscle soreness) produced by working otu too much and/or using a heaveir weight than you can actually handle.Lactic acids builds up in the muscle causing soreness. it should dissappear in a few days.Just strech a little and warm up properly when hitting the weights/cardio.

Stretching before and after is important, before to prevent injury and to afterward to promote flexibility.Lactic acid is produced within your muscles as you use them. It is primarily what is causing the tenderness. After prolonged strenuous exercise, it is often very helpful to keep the exercised muscles moving, but with very little resistance on them. This promotes lots of circulation to help remove the lactic acid from your muscle tissue without generating much more. For instance, for this reason professional hockey players will often spend thirty minutes or so on an exercise bike (set for very little resistance) after each game. It really works!
