to reverse muscle loss??I recently had an eating disorder and have suffered muscle deterioration. I'm undergoing treatment atm and as part of my program I have to gain some weight. I don't want to gain too much as fat I would rather gain muscle, since I have lost a lot of mine. Are there any foods that I could eat that would do this without the need for any strength exercises- If so wat are they? (My family would freak if I all of a sudden started exercising like mad) And are there any other tips you could give me?Thanks

fruit and veggies. believe it or not they are some of the best muscle builders, and they have little to no calories and lots of additional proteins.

Grilled chicken breasts, turkey, beef. A good portion of those will put some meat back on your bones. If you want it to turn to muscle, you have to exercise. Sorry, it's the only way.

Check out the Pen and Paper Diet since it will help you maintain your ideal weight no matter your activity level. It will help you figure out your calorie requirement for when you want to do some weight lifting exercises. As long as you track your calories, you'll maintain your ideal weight.

Get yourself some protein powder and put it in a smoothie. It works great and will also give you the power you need to exercise.Good Luck!

Protein builds muscles. Protein is found in meats, eggs, milk/dairy products, peanut butter, soybeans. However, you do need to exercise in order to build more muscles. You don't have to exercise like mad - take a walk every day, use hand weights (cans of food from the cupboard work - just be careful not to drop them) for 15 minutes. Do push ups.Protein + exercise = more muscles.
