I am 14 and weight about 110-120 pounds I'm not exactly sure. I want to lose weight by the end of this summer so that I can look great during my first year of high school. I already have my workout routine down; I'm going to alternate between running, biking, swimming, pilates, yoga, tennis, roller blading, jumping rope, and some typical sculpting moves such as crunches and stuff like that, but I need a diet. I'm not a really big fan of diets, so I would prefer some specific tips on changing my eating habbits, but I wouldn't mind some safe and healthy diet suggestions either. I was looking at the "3 Day Diet" and was wondering if it were healthy and safe for a fourteen year old. Can anyone let me in on some information about this diet? It doesn't really matter to me what suggestions you make, I really just want something that is safe and healthy. I am not willing to put my health at risk just to lose a couple of pounds. Thanks Smile

I'm the same age, and hunny those "3 day" shits never work, and their unnatural. Subsitude for fake sugar, fake chocolate, ect. It might not be as good, but it'll be better than nothing.Nothing too salty, it clogs your system.Have as much salade as you want, it'll shut your stomach up, just watch it on the high fat dressing.

dont do 3 day diets they are stupid and dont work, just eat alot of vegetables and fruit. In fact if you can go vegetarian for the summer, the decreased meat intake will most likely drop the number of calories you are eating and let you lose some weight.

i think the 3 day diet is good for 14 and up but those diets never work! so excercise alteast an hour a day, eating before 8 also eating healthy stuff try to avoid food that is fried or cooked try to eat fresh food and that will help you stay healthy and fit.

Well, at least, you're trying to be healthy in a safe way. So um..I think if you exercise as much as you plan to, you should be fine. Other than that, don't eat too much fast food. Try to eat things like almonds, etc. because they'll keep you full and are not fattening.

Sounds like your exercise routine is great. It's best to avoid fad diets, especially so when you're still growing. There is a very simple alternative however: simply keep to 3 nutritious meals per day with snacks of only fruit in between. Don't drink soda - only water. Take a multivitamin also.It can be difficult at times, but that's the best diet route. Good luck.

Your not that over weight! Stop eating when you get full...don't feel like you have to eat everything on your plate. Stay active, and stay away from yo yo diets...eat right and exercise...ask your doctor, he will tell you I gave you expert advice!

This may sound overused in school, but you need to follow the food pyramid. Eat whole grains, veggies and fruit daily. Keep meat to a max of 3 servings daily. Don't touch anything that comes from the chip/cracker/cookie/candy isle in the grocery store and you'll be fine. But if you must have something that's "bad" for you. Eat one serving or piece.
