I'm 13, going through puberty, and just got my physical today. I never lift, I have a six pack from swimming and running and cycling. I have been swimming since i was 8 on a club team, and i bike and run everyday. So I think i'm in great shape. My legs are very muscular for my age, but my arms are like a stick. But the doctor had told me lifting weights could speed up my growth. So i have dumbells ranging from 6-12 lbs. I was thinking about just doing more reps of lighter pounds and gradually move up. But I really don't know what the exercises i need to do. All i've been doing were curls because that's like the only one i know how to do properly. and i've been doing around 10 x 50 reps of curls a day ranging from 6-8 lbs. Not only do i want to do this for growth, just being buff(haha). So what are some bicep, tricep, shoulder(deltoids, w/e), and pecs(if there are any) exercises that i can do? And could you explain to me how much i should do a day? I will be doing this all summer.Btw, I weigh around 100 and i'm 5'. Yes, I'm small, but I have the endurance and keep doing things over and over for a long time. Thanks people who have replied, I'll take a look into the webs, and I'll try my best over the summer.

well doing that many reps will not get u anywhere u need to do lower reps with heavier weightand you need a bench if you want to get pecsfor example you can do dumbbell press and flys which will get your pecs bigand for delts theres lots of things but a common thing to do is military pressjust go to bodybuilding.com and go to training on the site it will show u lots of workouts u can do

If you are going to be off this summer what I would encourage you to do is watch the Fit tv network channel esp. Gilad Janklowicz b/c he's definitely going to give you arm workout regimes helpful to follow on the screen. I did this around your age without knowing my abs were going to get defined so doing the arm workouts I know you'll produce buffer and toned arms too. Have a safe summer.
