| Dr. Scholl's insoles. And if you are female, wear pantyhose to keep from getting varicose veins. Take little breaks to give yourself food massages, too. |

| First of all, have you gone to a store where you can be fitted for shoes? Serious runners go to serious shoe stores where they get fitted and refitted every time they buy shoes. Second of all, check on line for Viscoped full length inner soles. They are silicone and are more comfortable than the inserts that usually come in a good pair of sport shoes. You also might consider buying some TED hose- Google on line to find a supplier. They are support stockings- get the ones that are knee high. They help return the blood from your feet to your upper body. Too much pressure on your veins can also cause leg and foot pain.I have worked on concrete floors for over 25 years and have searched for the best shoes, inner soles and I always wear my TED hose at work- and sometimes at home.Hand wash your TED's by the way. They retain their elasticity longer.Good luck with making your feet happier.Don't be afraid to pay a hundred or more for a well fitting pair of shoes. Once you have found a pair that suits, try to buy several pair, so you can rotate them and let them air out, dry and rest. I usually will buy at least two pair of any shoe that fits; I have a difficult time buying shoes that fit properly. |
