Hey!I was wondering if someone would like to be my weight loss buddy. I want someone who likes writing long emails and scrapbooking - I will be making a food diary and a book which tracks my progress. I like following step - by - step instructions so I will have a chart that shows all of the exercises that I will be doing that day and i will check them off when I am done. I know that it sounds kind of confusing but I will explain more when you become my buddyI would prefer someone my age (16 years) and maybe around my weight (about 170 lbs or 77 kg). I am 5 ft. 5 in. (or 1.67 m.) which makes my BMI 28. I don't really want anyone who is already healthy and trying to lose even more weight or someone who is trying to exercise and eat healthier even though they are already the right weight. If you want to do that that's great, but I'd rather have someone with the same goals as I do. If someone else wants to become my weight loss buddy you can ask but I'm thinking that it would be easier for both of us if we were about the same.Speaking of goals I am going to start trying to lose weight July 2, 2008 and I am hoping to have lost at least 10 pounds by September 2, right before school starts. If possible I also hope to continue losing weight until December when I (hopefully) will be my correct weight for my height (around 130-145 lbs or 60 - 65 kg.)It would be great if someone could write me at lissibee@gmail.com. I will also be tracking this post if anyone just wants to leave their email so that I can write themanyways lots of luvvv and good luck.... |

| Sure, I'll be your exercise/weight loss body.I see that I'm not your age or size, but I'll correspond with you to keep you motivated.I'll tell you my story.I'm 47. I was in shape until 2005. My girlfriend that lived with me was ill and required my attention, so I stopped working out. I also abandoned my good eating habits, and started drinking. She passed away October 6, 2006. That drove me into a deep depression and I drank even more heavily. Right after Thanksgiving of 2007, I decided to weigh myself, and quit drinking, and start exercising and eating right. The date I started was December 13, 2007. I weighed 380 pounds. I also started taking vitamins B with folic acid, and vitamin C everyday with my breakfast.I started out by eating 2 meals a day, balanced meals. I also started going to the gym 3 times a week. I couldn't do much. I rode the cycle without any resistance set for 10 minutes. I walked 9 laps on the indoor track (18 laps = 1 mile). I also started using the weight machines for each major muscle group of the body, with very light resistance to get my muscles used to moving and my extremities moving in directions that they hadn't in quite some time.As time wore on, I was losing about a pound to 2 pounds a week. My strength also increased, minimally, but an increase nonetheless. February 2008, I increased the weight, and resistance, and distance for everything I did. As I was able to tolerate more, I did more.March 19, 2008 I started using the cross trainer (eliptical) and added that to my regimen 3x a week on days that I wasn't doing the weight machines. Adding to that, I was able to walk 36 laps on the track, so I started doing that each day I went to the gym for a total of 6x a week.April, I became even stronger, moved up resistance, and increased my distance on the track. I was still losing a pound to 2 pounds a week. At this time I added Vitamin E and Amino Acid suppliment to my diet, and quit eating red meat and potatoes all together, just having a baked potato once or twice a week now.May 2008, I became even stronger, and I started walking 4 miles (72 laps) and I moved the resistance up on all the machines and cardio equipment. I lost a total of 25 pounds in May.June 2008. I'm still doing the same thing, and I have increased the resistance some on certain things, and I have lost 5 pounds this month so far, as of today-the 18th. I feel fantastic. My weight right now is 302 pounds, and I'm able to move better than I have been in at least 2 years. Gone is the depression, although I miss my girl, she wouldn't (and didn't) want me to be in terrible shape.I like sharing my story with anyone that will listen, and although you're looking to correspond with someone similar, I wish you all the success you seek. |

| Weight loss is a tricky topic. Lots of people are unhappy with their present weight, but most aren't sure how to change it - and many would be better off staying where they are. You may want to look like the models or actors in magazines and on TV, but those goals might not be healthy or realistic for you. Besides, no magical diet or pill will make you look like someone else.So what should you do about weight control? How do i lose fast weight? - Healthy life every day!search : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&newwindow=1&as_qdr=all&q=%22How +do+i+lose+fast+weight%3F%22+-answers.yahoo+loseweighthappy&btnG=Searc h |
