There is no certain answer because everybody's feet are different. What you might want to do is go to a podiatrist (a foot doctor) and have them examine your feet and let them suggest what would be good for you.

go to the good feet store and get arch supports that go in your shoes, they are fitted for your feet alone and arent cheap.

Try Nike FREE shoes, they can bend more freely, I have flat feet and those feel great!

Well like you said your feet are flat. You need a shoe with some kind of support. You can either buy shoes with a significant enough arch to help your feet or you can buy supports to go in your shoes. I'd avoid shoes like flip-flops or houseshoes for extended wear as they have absolutely no support what so ever.

Nike free in my opinion, i have flat feet and always have a hard time finding a good pair of shoes, stumbled across these and will probably never buy anything else. they also strengthen your feet.
