| approximately how many calories would a person (who weighs about 140) burn in an hour if they were to use one of those things with the pedels thal look like you are cycling, but, not on any type of a bike?Like this: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7680165If I was to use this while watching tv at night, what would I burn in an hour ?(of course this wouldn't be the only exercise I do, but, just to supplement it)What about if I was to take it to work & use it while I sit at my desk for the 10 hours I'm there? I can't imagine it would burn a whole lot in an hour, but, would it be enough to make a difference if using it at work 5 days a week? |

| Most cardio-type exercises like this burn anywhere from 75-100 calories a minute depending on your exertion levels. So I'd say this is a pretty good way to a) keep you occupied and b) burn a few calories. Something to remember though is that if you do weight and resistance training a few times a week, your body will be more efficient, burning more calories in a shorter space of time and making any cardio you do have more impact. |
