You really should go to a good shoe store .. each brand is a little different. Check your consumer reports, look at some of the specialty magazines~they have yearly evaluations. If it feels comfortable and supportive, I think I'd try it .. then you get to know which work best for you .. they don't last forever, so you WILL be getting to know some of the brands. I figure new shoes are going to cost me $50-85, when I have to replace (based on wear, time on feet, etc.) SEE: she likes Reebok's~but they dont work well for me. I usually go with Nike, NewBalance, Brooks. You should try to find out what will give YOU the best support.

as a person who joggs and was on track in school I will be quite honest with you it depends on your feet and your level of comfort. Once I bought a pair of 64$ shoes they hurt my feet so bad that I went and bought a 15$ pair os shoes and I still have them. That was in 1999

Nike Shox. (they are a bit pricey) but they are worth it! I have a pair and I've starting walking around this lake by my house and its 3 miles all the way around. And my feet feel awesome afterwards.
