I am all about arch support, for I have high arches. None of Wally's walking shoes give me the support I need, so I purchase my shoes from shoes.com, mostly New Balance.I don't have much of a high opinion about Wally shoes in general, especially their athletic shoes.

I don't know about Walmart, but we have Kohl's near by. If you have accsess to a Kohl's, check out some Rebok's. I wouldn't be without them.

It depends on how much walking you plan on doing....if you are just gonna do some light shopping..walking from store to store in a mall then sure.If you mean real walking outdoors ....for a few hours at a time try Gander Mountain its a good outdoor outfitters. OR Cabellas online store.Merrell makes some good walkers so does New Balance You get what you pay for....and if you pay 19.99 the glue will come off if you pay 99.99 the stiching shouldnt be a problem!

I bought Dr. Scholls walking shoes from Wal-Mart. I find them stiff and not very comfortable. They were about $25. I think next time, I will spend and extra 10-$15 and get New Balance from a department store.
