Can you picture yourself using a light weight carbon body car, with plush but light weight interiors, and which runs on human peddling? yes, you peddle it like you peddle a cycle.but it's advanced gear system won't let you get tired. You could use such a car to pick up groceries, drop the kids to school or even go to work. http://www.greencarsite.co.uk/CONCEPTCARS/ConceptPhotos/toyota-iq.jpgt his is just for illustration, i am not the inventor of the above car.It can be used to save on fuel when we wanna go around town closeby, maybe even kids can use such a car...it's definitely not for the freeway but.

It sounds great but i'm not sure how the average person would go peddling a car and getting it up to 100km/h on the freeways.

I don't think it would work even though it sounds cool because i don't think that the gear system will work and the car will not go very fast

Hi! I looked at the site for the kind of car that you are talking about and my opinion is that I think that it has nice styling but that it is impractical in that you have only one passenger seat. The ideal car would be a 4 door version so you can move around to do errands and shopping with children and possibly with a dog. Even without having a dog to think about you mentioned that kids could drive it. Well , usually kids have friends so you need more space for their friends. Also if kids are going to go out in traffic they need to have driving and safety education so that they don't harm people or objects. Even if the car is carbon light weight there is some weight and weight plus speed can cause damage ( think of straw that can be driven into wood by hurricane force winds). Costs for this kind of car may also be prohibitive for average income families.

If you have to Pedal it and its for one person, then ride a bike since it will always be faster because of less air resistance. and well geared bike is over 99% efficient at transferring human power into movement

dont you think the roads are congested enough .? chap near me rides about in a tricycle thing he lies down in to pedal, followed by a long tailback of traffic ! might not be too bad in a flat country with wide roads .

I think you are having us on, their is no way you could pedal a vehicle this big for more than a few feet and then very slowly. It is possible to do more than 80mph on a pedal powered machine. But these look nothing like this, and are not practical for anything but straightline speed on closed roads.
