I worked so hard to get down to 126 Ibs (I am 5'10) and I dreaded going to my mother's for a visit as this always means meals out and I have no exercise bike there. To compensate for missing my 30 mins cycling, I upped my walking from 1 hour to 2-3 hours a day, but I have still gained this weight!! I tried to stick to healthy food when we ate out, but I did have a dessert and I ate a lot of jelly beans while there. I'd guess I ate around 2500 calories a day while there, I usually have 1600. Why bother to exercise if I still gained weight? I feel disgusting and weak willed now and feel tempted to return to my anorexic ways from when I was younger. It just feels like I am going to have to spend the rest of my life restricting what I eat to maintain the weight I want. I thought all the speed walking would keep my weight down, even while eating more Sad

Stop beating yourself up. We all have our weak moments, and losing 2 - 3 pounds is not the end of the world. Calm down and get back to your routine, and you'll be just fine.

Unfortunately, it's much easier to gain weight than lose it. I've gained 2-3 pounds in two days before (and it was food and not water weight!). It took all week to lose the weight and I had to down my calories and up my cardio. My point being that sometimes we need to indulge and that if you work at it, you'll get back down. Yes, stop beating yourself up. No one probably even notices and from what it sounds like, you could probably stand to gain a few pounds and indulge in some treats.
