Rainbow Six Xbox Live Troubles...?

I recently purchased Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 for the Xbox 360. Whenever I would try to join a quickmatch or custom match, the matches would show up on the screen, and whenever I would try to join them, it would give me a message saying that I couldn't connect. After three or so tries, it would disconnect me off xbox live, and i would have to power cycle my modem to get back on. This also happened when I would try to HOST a match, and would say that the request took too long and soon disconnected me, too. The thing is that: I CAN connect to custom matches and quickmatches on Rock Band, Halo 3, Gears of War, you name it. I just can't connect onto Rainbow 6: Vegas 2, and it's tickin' me off! If I don't find help soon, I might have to return it in a week to get store credit... Someone please help, because terrorist hunt is too much fun! Help!I already switched the game... before I posted this up... : /
