Both yoga and pilates are great forms of exercise. But neither is a good choice for weight loss. In order to loose weight, we need 2 things: A good healthy diet and cardiovascular exercise. That means you need a workout that will increase your heart rate and maintain that heart rate for at least 20-40 minutes.To find the heart rate you should use during exercise, take 220 minus your age. That is your maximum heart rate per minute. You should never work at your maximum.
