I am into group fitness, i do anywhere from 8-15 hours a week in step, kickboxing, pilates, spinning, etc.....the shoes i have now are just a pair of athletic looking sketchers that i have had for almost two years and have been wearing for almost two years. i have known for a lonnnnng time that i need some real shoes but never wanted to spend the money until now. i am having serious pains from and when doing cardio, specifically step and running. i need shoes that are really good for what i do and are meant for what i do. any suggestions? i will be going this weekend to get some new shoes. thanks!!!i guess i should have mentioned that money really isnt an option, i am more then willing to spend the money because of the issues i am having right now with my feet. thanks everyone!!!!

This is going to sound kinda rediculious but trust me it will pay off in the end.Find and go to a good athletic sports store that sells shoes. Find one of thir "shoe Junkies" he should be able to look at your feet ( to determine what kind of arch support you may require) then tell him what kind of activities you plan on doing. Then he should be able to make a recomendation on what kind of shoe whould be best for you. Yes they make shoes with vairing degres of arch support, not having the propper amount of arch support is one reason why peoples feet hurt after going on long runs and what not. Hopefully you find some one who knows what they are talking about and can help you. Be prepaired to spend a wee bit of money thou. Luck

with that amount of exercise and the problems you are experiencing I wouldnt go and buy and off the shelf pair of shoes.Depending on your area you want to try and locate a proper specialist. They will take proper measurements and examine how you run and supply the best shoe for you that offers good support.

RESEARCH!Purchase a fitness magazine. It will have articles about what is "hot" in the industry. You may also want to query the staff at your workout facility. They would definitely know what is "hot" in the industry. They may also have suggestions about what not to purchase. After you have done your research, visit a sporting goods store or a specialty athletic shoe store. As a rule, the staff is very knowledgeable about their products and will be able to recommend the shoe based on your needs.
